ECV preferred vendors and theme parks-true?

I was told that one reason to use a preferred vendor for an ECV is that only the preferred vendors can come into the theme parks if you have a problem. The other vendors can come to the entrance, but do not have free access to the theme parks. So if you have a problem, you have to somehow get to the entrance of the park with your ECV to get it replaced. Is this true?

Not true. Anyone with a park ticket is welcome to enter. Whether it's the delivery person's own ticket or provided by the company, they can get in.

There are no preferred vendors. There are Featured vendors designated as such only because they pay a fee to Disney to be able to use Bell Services to transfer the equipment. Many excellent companies exist which are willing to deliver to and pick up from the renter.
