So it looks like we might have one day of thunderstorms. They are calling for 70% thunderstorms Sunday. My mom is renting an ECV for our trip. We are supposed to be in Epcot FW that day. Any suggestions that will enable her to still be out and about with us?

Sorry guys! Just did a search and found this has been asked many times. Should have looked first. :sad2:

Not sure where you are renting from but most have canopies that can be added to rental.;)

1. I just checked the hourly weather forecast for the next 48 hours. Starting about 1:00pm on Sunday each hour shows a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. These are not as heavy as scattered.

2. I would not suggest a canopy, they are more a hindrance than a help and if the rain is heavy it comes sideways anyway.

3. What I do is have two ponchos. One is over the seat and the other is over me, with the back over the seat. Yes, my lower legs and feet will get wet, but last time I looked I do not melt away.

We take clear garbage bags, the big 30gal ones, to put over the tiller. That way you can see the controls but they stay dry. A poncho for the seat and one for you should do the trick. The poncho for the seat should be large enough to cover and protect the battery and electronics.
