My parents may need an ECV (the electric buggy, think those are the right letters!) while at Disneyland. Does anyone have any tips on where to rent one? Preferably a place that delivers?

TIA :)

My mom rented hers through Deckert's. Sorry I don't know the number, but you could probably yellow/white pages it online. They were really great and delivered it and picked it up for a very modest rental fee. I think under $140 for 6 days including delivery and pickup. :confused3 Much cheaper than DLR and she could easily go back and forth to the hotel.

We have also rented with Deckert's Medical. They deliver to your hotel before you arrive and pick-up from the hotel lobby after you have checked out! They are easy to charge up and the cost is between $35-$40/day! They have two sizes and the scooters are much faster than DL's.:moped:

There is not a lot of information on the disABILITIES Board, but there is some that should be helpful to you.
Post #14 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread is a collection of information about Disneyland. In that post you will find:
  • a link to the official Disney page about touring Disneyland with a disability
  • a link to a past trip report
  • phone numbers for 2 companies that DIS posters have recommended (including Deckert's)
  • a link to a past disABILITIES thread about Disneyland

The disABILITIES FAQs thread is near the top of the disABILITIES Board or you can use the link in my signature to get there directly.

Thanks so much, everyone! My parents are not admitting that it is a possibility but my dad has cancer and get tired so easily. I want to have info ready to keep our options open and have the best trip possible. Thanks so much. :goodvibes :goodvibes

We recently returned from a visit. We rented an ECV from Deckert's for my mom. They were very good about dropping it off at the hotel, but it was nearly impossible to use. It supposedly had a slow and fast speed, but it didn't work well for my mom and she was so stressed out by it that we returned it the same day. They only charged us for that day, which was nice of them. We opted for a wheelchair instead and it worked much, much better for our party.
