ECV at WL and boat service

We are travelling with my parents this June to the WL. My mother will be using an ECV. Is it possible to use the boats to MK and take the ECV on board?

I have read some confusing (for me) information about water levels and the boats not allowing ECVs. Thanks!

I certainly don't wish to confuse you, any more than you already are....We stayed at the WL in December of '99. My hubby used an ECV and most times, the boat trip to MK was available to us. My understanding was that if the water lever was too low, we could not use the boat. Now, given that info, please allow me to explain something. You will be boarding the boat from a stationary dock - if the water level is too low, there will be quite a drop from the dock level to the boat; consequently they cannot accomodate an ECV. At that point, you will just use the bus service....We had this occur once or twice during our visit; and it really was no problem....Hope this helps.........

I think you did a pretty good job explaining it, irish, but it's the same way I would explain it.
If it still doesn't make sense to you, Imelda, just ask as many questions as you need.
The problem with that lake is that it is very large and they can't control the level of the water. If the water level is good, you can take an ecv on the boat without a problem. If it rains a lot, the water level might be high compared to the dock (so the boat is floating high and an ecv won't be able to drive right on). If it's been dry, the boat will be floating too low compared to the dock. If you can't use the boat, there is always the alternative of the bus.
