We are thinking of staying at CBR for our trip Feb. 2017. I' need an ECV and will rent from an outside company. I'm wondering will it be left at Custom House or at Port Royale? IF at Custom House how do I get it to my room...do I drive it there or is there a bus?
Also anyone who has stayed at CBR with an ECV how is the bus service? I'm wondering if they are all full when they get to your stop what do you do? TIA

The first time I hired one was when I stayed at CBR. I confirmed overnight by email which 'village' and room we were in, and they drove straight to the nearest car park and then brought the scooter to our room. They collected it the same way on our last day.

At OKW it was brought straight to our villa, but when staying at AoA they had to bring it to bell services where I met them. They collected it from the check-in hall. We're staying at BLT and then Jambo House this August. I think I'll need to meet them in the lobby or just outside for both collection and delivery.

WHO DID YOU RENT FROM? I have always rented from Apple but am not sure this year due to bad reviews. How was the bus situation at CBR...were you able to always get on a bus?

The first time I used a company who I wouldn't use again - their scooters were very badly scratched and in poor condition. I now use Florida Mobility Rental which is owned by a couple of ex-Pats. Their prices are about the cheapest I've seen and I get 10% discount as a returning customer. Their CS is excellent - which is what counts at the end of the day. The only downside is that they're not on Disney list of preferred vendors and so won't leave the scooter at bell services for you. As we don't arrive at the resort until gone 6pm I have to book first drop on our first full day (ie between 7am and 7.30am).

Regarding the buses, we were very lucky in that there was never another scooter user on the same bus as us. But there's no way of knowing when a bus is going to come, and the number of times we sat there watching buses for every other park and DTD and even the internal shuttle going round and round while we waited impatiently for a bus to the park we were going. The shortest time we waited was 10 minutes, the longest nearly 45 minutes! The only advantage was that this was Martinique and it's the first stop 99 times out of 100 and will come in empty. One morning 3 came in together. While the driver fiddled about with the ramp, I said to the people waiting patiently at the door that they might be quicker if they got on the bus behind. They all did. DD and I had our own bus all the way to the park! lol
