Is there an entrance at the train station in the front of the park for an ECV? I assume he cannot take it on the train but was not sure if he would have to leave it downstairs somewhere or if there is a place on the platform where you get on the train that he can leave it.:confused3

There is a ramp on the far right side of the station, on the same side as City Hall. It is a very steep ramp with several switchbacks, but at least it is a ramp.
The 'official' information says that users of ECVs must leave it at that station and may switch to a wheelchair (available at the entrance) for the ride. There is a parking area for ECVs at the place where you get onto the train. The first car of the train is wheelchair accessible, with a spot for parking a wheelchair and for companions can sit beside.
For sure park rental ECVs may not be brought on the train, but I have seen people able to get on with some of the smaller, more manouverable ECVs.

At DLR they said my scooter would fit. They put the no scooter label so that they do not end up holding up the train while arguing with a disgruntled customer. At least WDW has a Main Street Station access.
