To anybody who has stayed here, is the shuttle to disney free? On Travel City Direct it specifically says a COMPLIMENTARY shuttle to disney, but on the actual Econo Lodge website it says $15 per person round trip?! If it is 15 dollars per trip then I won't even book this hotel seeing as it'll end up costing a fortune over the 2 week period going to Disney.

Thanks for any replies.

I'd check with the hotel directly - can you email them.

To be honest i'd be suprised if it was free to disney. I know some hotels on I drive do complimentary to seaworld and universal but they are alot nearer.

Shuttles are often only once a day. They drop you at TTC then you have to transfer using the disney buses to each park.

I've also seen complaints of them being overcrowded (think small minibus) and unreliable.

If you are doing mainly disney - have you priced staying onsite?

We have stayed offsite alot in the past but always with a car.

Just to add to the previous post.

The shuttles as well as usually being once a day, arn't at the best times.

the one time we usesd a shuttle service, the shuttle picked us up at 6pm prompt, even though the park was open till 9pm.

I'd recommend either staying in a Disney value or if you are confident, getting a cheap rental car.

i stayed here last oct and the shuttle is FREE to all parks (disney/universal sea world)
you need to book the night before.

if you need any more info on econolodge just ask

Stayed at Econolodge before it changed (when it was still a Best Western) and used the free shuttles which were suprisingly good. Much better than the ones we had to (and have to) pay for staying at Quality Inn Plaza. :goodvibes

Thank you for all the replies :). Shuttles to Disney were free from the Comfort Inn when I stayed there in June and you could choose 3 time slots (6pm/8pm/10pm) for when you wanted to be picked up. I'm afraid staying onsite at Disney would just not be an option with my budget either unfortunatly, I am only 17.

Are you travelling solo? I would check the age limit on the hotel. Most USA hotels will not let you check in alone in a room until you are 18 or 21 :)
