Echange into RCI need to change reservation points?

So we exchanged into RCI for our Vegas trip. We got a 2 bedroom because we were going with another couple. Well they just found out that they are expecting their 4th lil one and she is due a week before we are to be there. So we no longer need a 2 bedroom. So what happens with those points. I take it they are in RCI now and we just use them elsewhere within RCI.

Don't think in terms of points, they are completely gone. IF you cancel at least 45 days prior to the travel, you lose your $95 fee and have a credit with RCI that expires 2 years from the date of the week DVC gave to RCI. But you them must get another exchange, not the best of options in my book. You cannot get any DVC or reservation points back to use elsewhere. You don't want to know what happen under 45 days. Your best option is to go and use it. You can't rent it in any way including trading withe someone. You can't downsize it and get anything back and would actually have to pay another exchange fee if you did.
