I have read some mentions of sleep overs in the kids clubs during the TA and PC cruises. My family is currently booked on the May 2018 EBTA, and our girls will be 5 and 7 then. I was hoping some had personal experience with this sleepover. I haven't seen it listed on any Navigators that are online, so any specific details would be very helpful.

It typically isn't listed in the Navigators. While the sleepover event typically occurs on the special, long, cruises, it depends a lot on how many kids are actually on that cruise whether there's one scheduled or not. Usually, if the kid passenger load is small (like under 300 kids) they will have the sleepover. If there's a lot of kids, they won't.

From what I've read recently, the kid passenger load has been creeping up on those long cruises in the past couple of years. Time was it was pretty small.

They happened on every PC and TA I worked (5 all thogether).
I can answer questions for you, but each one I have worked has been different but along the same lines.
The last few I did they were ticketed (free, like the character tickets) and they say they cap it at 100, but they do give out more as not every child ends up staying.
It's usually open to all kids 5 and over. Kids get a bag a day or two before to put their stuff in and instructions for the actual night (again, those have varied every time). They bring their own blankets and pillows from the cabin, your host can get more if you need, and they'll be sleeping on the floor.
Any self check priveledges are suspended from midnight until the next morning.

It is on the navigator, see coast to coast at the bottom, the event kinda finished at that end time for anyone not staying over, at about 11 they go have pizza then get ready for bed.

This is also on the first days navigator.
But that's about all the information they'll give you other than you talking to YA CM.

Btw, both of those were from the most recent transatlantic.

My daughter was 6 when she did it in 2015. At about 11:30 they called me to come and get her as she said she was feeling sick. What it really was, she was tired and wanted to sleep, but it was too loud. We explained that in 20 minutes they would be making everyone go to bed and she decided to stay.

She loved it, and was so glad she stayed. Peter Pan came and told them a bedtime story he made up using random kids' soft toys - he chose my daughter's doll for part of the story. And they had doughnuts for breakfast, which she was excited about.

The funniest thing for me was seeing all these older kids who had been at Edge suddenly registering for the club that day so they could go. Lol. The counsellors were awesome at making sure the kids slept, and at no stage did my daughter feel overwhelmed by the additional older kids there.

Thanks for all the info. I bet the adult lounges are more crowded that night! Here's hoping that it will be scheduled on next year's TA.

There was one crossing that they didn't advertise it until the day before, maybe event the day of...
Basically they were waiting to see how much interest there was in it and if it was worth doing (of course its now a well-known secret of the crossings).
So even if you don't see it advertised, be sure to ask about it, you might be that one person that sways the decision if they're waiting for the popularity vote!
