EBTA 2014...Across the Atlantic we go!!!

I was checking the cruise meet thread for the 2013 EBTA cruise, they have a lot of things planned!

On our last cruise on the Fantasy we did lanyards for the group, everyone paid $3/lanyard. They were great for picking out people from the meet. The only problem was that our cruise was the only after Hurricane Sandy. Our boarding was delayed. We had all planned to meet at the Sail Away party and hand out the lanyards then, but the Sail Away party was cancelled. Everyone recieved their lanyard, but it was a lot more work to get them out.

This will be our first transatlantic cruise. Has anyone done a TA cruise before?

We did the EBTA when I was in 5th grade, so in 2007.

Hello, we just booked this cruise while on the LA-Vancouver repositioning. The 20% off plus credit made it hard to pass on. I am traveling with my Husband Derrick, Son Gavin (6), daughter Avery (4) and son Patrick (2). We are driving up from south FL the day of the cruise and haven't made plans for the return flight yet. I sent a request to join the FB group as I check that more often then DIS.

Hi everyone!!! I'm Linny and we just switched from a 7 night Fantasy cruise to this one and I am beyond excited!! We are celebrating our 10 yr anniversary and my 40th birthday. Our two kids will be with us as well. DD, Josie will be 6 and my DS, Andre will be 3!

Question: I was looking at Port excursions. Has DCL not ported at Malaga, Spain before? Nothing is listed in the excursions for that.

I think we have found the best prices through Iclandair. We haven't booked anything though.

It might be a little early to find good deals. Prices are generally high more than 6 months out to capture the most revenue of the "I NEED to be there" people. Then they'll come down about 3-6 months before as they want planes to fill, then they'll go up again to capture the "Crap, I NEED to be there" people, then down if the planes aren't full enough.

I'm willing to organize the scavenger hunt. I just added a column to the Google Doc for this. So if you want to participate in the Scavenger hunt, just put a Yes in the column.

I'm thinking of having it during our 2nd sea day after Castaway Cay.

Those participating in the FE might want decide about cut offs both final date to join and the maximum number of cabins per group. There are already 21 cabins signed up!!

We also just got back from the 2013 EBTA and booked this cruise while onboard. I am still trying to talk my DH into it but I couldn't pass up putting down a deposit and working on him over the next few months. We booked four rooms. We are hoping our travelling party will be DH and I, my Mom, little sister, her DH and their kids (DD 1.5 and DD 4.5 at sailings) and my older sister and her two kids (DD 7.5 and DS 11.5). Feel free to ask any questions about the 2013 EBTA you may have while it is still fresh in my mind.
