Why can't you bring your iPhone in to the Magic Kingdom?
Because Snow White doesn't like apples!

I'm about 50 pages behind on reading so I apologize if this has been posted and I missed it. I will add the info to the website so folks don't have to go searching.

Is this from DCL? This is awesome!
It seems like most everyone is getting the 11-11:30 check in times. Does that mean the cruise really isn't that booked? Or that only Dis-ers are actually checking in right at their first opportunity.
Lina- Yes I am in California, but will be driving to work at 9pm. I can only imagine walking into work, signing in then telling my coworkers I can't actually start to work for a bit while I take care of something more important- getting things done for my cruise! But I am alone 2hrs later and have all night to do it.
How about those who plan to head over to Tropicante meet in front of Triton around 9:45 am and we can leave as a group around 9:50 am? We have a DD turning 10 a couple weeks before the cruise. We are also doing Tropicante in Costa Maya. Maybe we can all head their together. Do you guys have kids? I have a DD 6 and DS 4.
I am also in charge of my sister's cabin's FE, so I am sad to report, that the FE from their cabin will be small, lightweight and most likely ordered! But in my defense, be glad you are getting something from them, if left up to my sister, it would have been forgotten. My sister and I are best friends but we are complete opposites! She is extermely disorganized and leaves everything to the last minute. Her non planning drives me nuts and my planning drives her nuts! We really have nothing in common. If we didn't look somewhat alike, no one would believe we are sisters and were raised by the same parents. Our career paths clearly show our differances (she works in the fashion industry and I'm in engineering)
I agree with mug318ca. The captain probably prefer to sign them at one sitting. I vote for giving it to the captain to sign as a pile and we can get them from you at a Dismeet TBD.Hi all...
On the certificate, there is an area for the Captain's information. We have three choices:
1) Leave it blank
2) Print Captain's name
3) Print Captain's signature
I reached out to Concierge Services to get their insight, and they suggest Option 1, as the Captain can change. I asked if the Captain would be willing to sign them, and they believe he would (at his leisure).
So if we leave them blank, how does everyone want to do this? We can go with the original plan of passing them out at the Meet & Greet at 3p on Embarkation Day, and then everyone is in charge of getting their own certificate signed (either by dropping it off at Guest Services, or attending one of the Captain's autograph sessions). Or, I can submit the whole pile of certificates at the start of the cruise, he can sign them at his leisure, and they we can plan another distribution time/place on a sea day during the 2nd week.
Thoughts?
Yes, the check-in time is somewhat new - at least since April 2011. Welcome back to the Disboards!I obviously haven't been keeping track of the calendar so here I am 2 days after booking opened for Silver CC members and I still saw plenty of Palo availability for brunch and dinner and still was able to get 11:30 am to noon check-in at the port. On the latter, is that something new? On previous cruises we'd just show up early, check-in and get a number for boarding and be on the ship in less than a half hour.

Hi all...
Since October 9th is the cut-off for FE, I will also make that the cut-off for PC Certificates to make things easier on everyone (ordering instructions forthcoming).
I need the group's feedback on one issue...

I would want the Captain's signature on my certificate. I don't care how that is done, but I can imagine that the Captain would prefer getting them all at once and he can decide how many he wants to sign at one sitting. He would also be getting them all done at once and not be hit throughout the cruise.
I was thinking the same thing-he would probably want them all at once.
I've searched a number of threads but can't seems to find sewing instructions -- I keep coming up with non-sewing instructions. If anyone happens to know where I can find the sewing instructions, would you please post a link to them?
Also, thanks for the posts about port arrival times. This will be our 3rd Disney cruise but the first time with a port arrival time. We had no idea, so ended up getting the 11:30 to noon time slot because we were about 18 hours behind the rest of you in getting checked in.
Tropicante looks good to Susan and I as well.
On the early seating group dining, with the addition of Dave and Sharon (skayrobe) we've filled up one table of 8. However, I'd be happy to start up a second table if folks are interested.
