Do you think that Ebola may eventually effect attendance at Disney's Theme Parks?

I don't think it will unless ebola goes airborne. I may be washing my hands after putting my finger on the glass.

I believe they'll put in thermal scanners to check guest leaving Africa area for fever.

No, guests from Africa can’t visit the rest of the World, travel ban didn’t you hear? They have bunks set up at Tusker house to house all the guest who enter Africa. Better change my Kilimanjaro FP.

Can I use a FP+ for one of those bunks? Is it tier 1?

Wow, this is really going to affect the timing of getting from the safari to see Lion King huh? :rotfl: Sorry couldn't resist.

For some odd reason I think that anyone with Ebola will probably not be in WDW so in that case there may be a few (very few) that don't go to WDW.

I think you will still need to get a FP for the big rides.:)

Right now it’s still not tiered but I heard that could change at any minute from one of the bus drivers. He told me their is a limit on the amount of bunks, and that A&E will be singing along while you bleed out, god forbid you contract it so you can at least “Let it go”.

Depends on how authentic the "authentic African CMs" are?
Since we are getting serious now, the CM's from Africa are not from the poverty portions of the populations. You know the poor, living in filth and disease infested areas that is the breeding center for stuff like this. In order to be here they would have to be the more wealthy sector of the population and unlikely to be exposed to the virus.

I know that viruses do not know the rich from the poor, but, exposure is the key thing to look at here. So no, even if the CM's are authentic Africans, Africa is a very large place with all types of cultures and modernization in place. They are no more likely to be carrying the virus then any of us are.

Yes sir! Lord, I apologize for that one there, and please be with all the starving Pygmies over there in Africa!

Ebola is not contagious until the patient is symptomatic so I doubt they would be at WDW. Due to the number of germs present on the hands of small children, I will be diligent with my hand washing and antiseptic wipes anyway. Because I am going to Orlando for two weeks, I don't want to be sick week two.

Someone on a Facebook group asked if thy should change their reservation from Animal Kingdom Lodge due to Ebola. :sad2:

If a CM actually had it when they came over, they'd be dead already.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

I want Ebola screenings from everyone leaving the African pavilion from Animal Kingdom!!

Fumigate Sanaa and Jiko!!

It's all speculation, but if this becomes a big deal, spreading out into the general public, YES it will affect Disney. It will for me! And while everyone is out saying how hard it is to catch, then why are the docs and nurses who treat these people who wear hazmat suits, and yet some of them are STILL getting infected??

TODAY here in Dallas a nurse who treated Duncan (the guy who died) has tested positive for Ebola, and she was in full protective gear. And while the CDC is claiming she broke protocols in some way, the nurse says she did NOT, and she doesn't know where she was exposed.

So... now all the armchair virologists chime in! (And I'm not a doctor or scientist either, I"m just saying they don't know all the answers, clearly! And neither do any of you!!)

Ah but this is the Dis. Where if you even utter a peep about being worried about getting sick at WDW, some folks will tell you they've been licking the handrails for years and it only makes them stronger ;)

That reminds me... If you have a meet and greet with A&E and you have a WDW balloon, do not let Elsa hold your balloon....... Say why..... why because she'll Let it go, let it go!!!! Hee Hee!

I'm not an alarmist - I promise - but if I were a patient or had a family member in that hospital- we'd be long gone.

Experts are great, but part of their job is to minimize people panicking and so while at the moment I'm not worried about WDW , I am Not at all sure the "experts" are as sure of all this as they claim they are.

Sorry, but I just don't buy that business of getting sick keeps you from getting sick.
Thanks but no thanks- I'd rather just not get sick in the first place.
