has anyone had any experience of hotels near ebbsfleet station, ie nearest, easiest, cheapest, looked at prem inn gravesend central. will be staying night before and a night on our return, just wondering if anyone has stayed there and got a taxi to station as they have said i can leave the car there foc for the week, thanks in advance

To be honest there aren't that many hotels near Ebbsfleet. You would be best sticking with the Premier Inn that you are looking at staying at in Gravesend.

Can't say I have stayed there but pass it enough as I live and work near it.

Thanks, is the premier inn not that close in the description lists it as 2.4 miles from Ebbsfleet international,

Its not that far from the station, its just there hasn't been any real need for hotels to be built in the area, although this may change over the years.

cool, its good value compered to hotels near st pancras which we normaly go from, have you used Ebbsfleet before? sounds like its alot less busy than st pancras from descriptions on here

we stayed there last October. the hotel is fine, clean and quiet. there's a pub attached that does nice food, but it is slow, and I mean slow! the breakfast buffet is nice there too. ebbsfleet station is great. tons of parking (I think it was about £15 but can't remember) there's a little coffee shop and a wh Smith's. there were loads of toys for the kiddies to play with which was a nice touch and only about 50 people to get on the train . it made the baggage scan really easy as there were so few people. I would never use London again ! Xx

I got Eurostar from ebbsfleet on Wednesday and stayed in the premier inn at gravesend on Tuesday night, it was just like any other premier inn and very busy. We went into gravesend for dinner (15-20 min walk) and there is a great children's park right next door to the hotel which definitely helped burn some excited energy. The drive to ebbsfleet took less than 10 minutes, parking was easy (I looked into pre-booking parking but didn't and it wasn't a problem at all).

sorry I can't remember the name but I remember the food if that helps. actually, scrap that, if it IS the menu your after it's the same as the shepherd and dog pub in Ipswich so maybe Google that? there's a carvery, burgers, pie, salads etc. normal kids menu but it does a few bits like chilli and curry for children. as I say it the same as the shepherd and dog. I hope it was the menu you were after! food was good but very very slow.
