Should I buy? OfficeMax has them 20% off, and I have a coupon for the store near us, but just don't know what I'm looking at! I don't think I can get away with only a 5lb one, since I have some heavier items to sell. Or can I use my digital bathroom scale for the larger items? Got burned on my first sale with underestimating weight, so want to get it right from now on. Thanks!
Terri

Get whatever size you think will work for most of what you'll be shipping, and for larger/heavier stuff, get on your floor scale holding the item. Note the total weight, then weigh just yourself - the difference is the shipping weight!

All of my packages are below 7 pounds.

My friend has a more expensive postal scale.
I use a $10 food scale from the WalMart housewares dept.

Since my items are less than 7 pounds I just weigh it on there, put the weight on my ebay listing so the buyer can check their exact shipping before they bid.
That $10 scale works great for me.

Thanks to you both, I appreciate it. Guess I'm going with the lighter one! Any other thoughts are welcome...
