I sold on ebay for a while. Then I got busy doing other things and didn't have time to take pictures, write descriptions, and list on ebay.
But I didn't want to stop altogether. I put some quick listings on half.com until I had more time to do ebay. I'm surprised but the sales come in - $260.60 since May. This isn't too bad since I don't even list that many things.
Half.com is not as fast as ebay on selling your stuff and you won't have the potential of a bidding war driving your price up, but I find that I really like it. Listing is easy, no listing fees, no e-mail communications necessary with bidder and winner, and since ebay collects the money for you up front, so no invoices, no waiting for payment, no paypal & billpoint commissions (in addition to ebay), and no dead beat bidders.
While I haven't given up on ebay, half.com is great for filling in the gap for the occassional seller who doesn't have time to list on ebay.
