Do they "scan" your Annual Pass at the shops/restaurants?

As if they keep track they must think this guy lives there!

I went into the parks after 5:00pm one year and the cast member just waived me through, (I thought it was a bit of Disney magic!). So I don't think the parking thing is scanned or a record kept of use.

No they don't keep any record of using it, only for entering the parks.
Both parking booths and in shops for discounts they just look to see it is valid. Often they don't even do that, just look it at quickly then give discount.

By the time Disney respond to the email then Ebay doing something about it the auction will be over. I emailed them 4 days ago, still no reply.

you just show them the pass for parking, ive never been asked for id, ive lent mine to friends along with a non photo id(old credit card) so they can use it for free parking and discounts but not park entry.

This person is just one step away from the touts that approach you at the gas stations and whatnot and try to buy off you your 14-day UK passes at the end of your holidays. And people have said they have managed to get into the parks on those tickets, so someone will be bound to try it at some point on this card.

I don't understand how people manage to get through the turnstiles with these tickets as you need to pop your finger on the scanner to authorise your ticket access. Once the ticket has been used for the first time it is "locked" to the person who used it the first time. Unless they go for the kids' ones - kids don't need to scan prints. I just feel for the people who get duped into buying these useless tickets. They wouldn't do it if they knew there would be a problem. Imagine buying "cheap" passes for a family, getting there and having to buy them in the US again. We still come up tops with the UK ticket deals.

LMAO - v interesting. I wonder how many rentals he will need to cover the price of renewing his pass? I guess a family of four could rent their passes out for £60 a week.

I wouldn't feel comfortable sending my pass to a stranger in the post though - especially if I intended to use it again that year.

It's been mentioned before in the 'Should I sell on my ticket/buy from gas stations' type threads that someone bought a ticket and used it, although had some explaining to do when they got to the gates and the fingerprints matched - but as far as I'm aware, they got in.

And this guy isn't 'renting' his pass as a ticket, he is renting out the 'perks' that come with the ticket, which in a way is even more of a cheek than just plain old renting out the ticket! Some people are morons, and there's not a lot we can do about it.
