Do you think they for real?
Who would pay $356 for a SD pin!? I don't have one left to trade. But for $400, I will sell mine! :D
See #1053436756.
Utah $280 -- 1053134637
I'll sell -- I'll sell! ;)

Wow!!! That is a little high.

And what happens if the restock rumors are true?

Restock or no restock those people still paid A LOT of money for what a friend calls a "piece of painted metal!"

I'm sure the 10 people who bought the Disney Auctions artist proof of the state pin paid less! I paid $25. for New Mexico, I know it's going for more for the $4.00 pin.

Well, right after September 11 the Mickey Flag pins were going for over $100. Seems crazy to me!

I was watching Montana pin and couldn't believe it was going so high. I'm very happy I paid $26 for the Disney Auction Artist Proof :D

I've seen this before on Ebay. You have a seller who is trying to corner the market by buying up all the Utah and Hawaii pins, then turning around and selling them at a premium. I saw someone try to do this with a highly collectible magazine a few years back. Several months after paying $400 or more per copy of this magazine, this ebayer ended up only being able to get $150 each for the stack of magazines that he/she purchased.

It will be interesting. I purchased the Montana Proof after calling the only store there and finding out they had sold out in 30 minutes. Only one has even appeared on ebay to sell and I haven't seen any listed on pinpic, here or other trading sites. Unless they reissue some the small states will be a very rare pin.

I grew up in Montana so it had some importance for me. I was more than willing to pay $30 but more than $200 would be very hard!

Caveat emptor. A thing is worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

A lesson that I learned oh too well when I purchased all of those 7-day cruise pins. (Thanks for reminding me Debbie). At least I didn't start buying them from everyone else who was selling them on Ebay (although the thought did cross my mind).
