Ebay situation - need advice from the pros!

I listed a Disney Princess piece on ebay two weeks ago. In the description I said I had other pieces (other princesses), and if a buyer was interested to let me know before bidding. I stated that I do not ship to Canada. Well, a Canadian ebayer bid and won at the last minute.

I did not realize he was from Canada & sent him an invoice. No reply for several days until I receive an email asking for photos of the other pieces. That is when I realized he was from Canada, and sent him a reply apologizing, but stating I had to re-list the item because of the shipping problem. He emailed me back stating he uses a US P.O. box, and asks me if I'll still sell the peices to him. I replied yes, and emailed him photos of the other pieces. Since then, I've been getting a big, fat runaround. He didn't receive the email, he's been out of town, can't make up his mind if he wants all of them, etc etc etc. Still no payment (even for the original piece).

Yesterday, I sent him an email very early in the morning stating I needed an answer TODAY because I was going on vacation. Know what he emails me back? "No problem, no rush, I'll get back to you after your vacation".

I think this guy is just playing a game, but then who knows? Maybe he will eventually pay, but then maybe he's playing. He has good feedback.

What should I do?

I would be mad as heck. I would email him back and tell him you had to have an answer NOW, TODAY and payment TODAY or you would relist. How much money are we talking about? Are these large or small pieces?

If he keeps yanking you around for a couple more weeks, you won't be able to fill a non-paying bidder claim, right? I'd file that, now. How long will you be gone on vacation?

Relist. Tell him that you are no longer comfortable with this transaction and if he is registered in Canada and you don't ship there (regardless of his "US PO Box") you can cancel per eBay. For future reference you can block buyers who are registered in companies that you don't ship to.

Thanks everyone. Each of your replies was one I figured I'd hear, I just needed affirmation that I was doing the right thing in telling him "pay or get off the pot". Now I feel better about what I need to do next.

Thanks again!!!

Mark him as a Non-Paying Bidder and relist when you can. Make sure you block him from bidding on your items again. Good luck! :)
