First off - another HUGE thank you to all the ebay experts that keep giving me advice and listening to my newbie questions!!!
I just sent a package from one of my auctions. In my haste at the post office, I forgot to add/pay for insurance on one of the items. The buyer paid me for the insurance.
I was thinking I should email her now and refund the difference to her paypal account. I did undercharge her $.10 for the shipping cost. I am fine with eating that - my fault.
But, if I refund the $1.30 for insurance now & offer to refund the purchase price if the item arrives damaged (since it was my fault, not having the insurance) - she may pull a fast one on me & claim it was broken no matter what. (FYI - the item is a frame, but packaged in the original box/styrofoam as when it was new)
Should I wait until she receives it, then email her that I noticed I forgot the ins. - then refund it to her (to cover my behind)?
