I hate ebay! I've been looking for a cabin bed for my daughter for a couple of months and I've been outbid on a few and missed a couple of 'buy-it-nows', so I was quite excited when I saw one for sale that was quite near to where I live.

I showed it to DD who loved it, so I asked the seller whether she had a BIN price. She replied with a price that I was happy to pay. I agreed to buy it and to pay cash on collection and we exchanged emails about collection times etc. She said she would end the listing (which had in the meantime got a bid of 99p) and I just checked to see if she had ended it...to my horror it had gone up to £100!:scared1:

She emailed me and said that she had had a lot of interest in it and now that the bid had increased, she thought it would 'be fair' to let the auction run. I am so gutted. My DD will be in tears when I tell her.:guilty:

I realise that it is the seller's prerogative to let the listing run but I wouldn't have done that, if I had agreed to sell it.:sad2:

I rarely buy or sell on ebay anymore, the fun went out of it !! I hope you find a bed for your dd

That is very frustrating. I hope that you find a new one soon :)

Thanks everyone. I told my DD this morning and she burst into tears. I felt so bad. I wish I was in a position to spend more money to guarantee that she could have the one she wanted. A new one is completely out of the question.

Last week Argos was selling cabin beds from half price, some as cheap at £63....they might still be reduced.

Thanks Emma but she's set her heart on a Stompa bed, which is why I can't afford to get her what she wants. She'll just have to wait for one we can afford.:confused3
