I hate ebay! I've been looking for a cabin bed for my daughter for a couple of months and I've been outbid on a few and missed a couple of 'buy-it-nows', so I was quite excited when I saw one for sale that was quite near to where I live. I showed it to DD who loved it, so I asked the seller whether she had a BIN price. She replied with a price that I was happy to pay. I agreed to buy it and to pay cash on collection and we exchanged emails about collection times etc. She said she would end the listing (which had in the meantime got a bid of 99p) and I just checked to see if she had ended it...to my horror it had gone up to £100! She emailed me and said that she had had a lot of interest in it and now that the bid had increased, she thought it would 'be fair' to let the auction run. I am so gutted. My DD will be in tears when I tell her. I realise that it is the seller's prerogative to let the listing run but I wouldn't have done that, if I had agreed to sell it.
