Ebay question

I have a problem with something I purchased thru ebay. I ordered on Dec 31st and have had several contacts with the seller as to why it was taking so long to receive the product. As it turns out she says she is showing the package was delivered to me and sent me a link to click it and see the same thing. Problem is I don't have the item and my postal carrier doesn't know anything about it! Complaining to the post office won't do any good because it was not insured. Would I be able to file a complaint thru my credit card co? Whose fault is this?

I believe someone said on the ebay boards that the post office can tell by the scan on their end who scanned it possibly? I would definitely follow up with the post office since they claim it was delivered and you dont have it

I would try to pursue it through the post office, but the seller fulfilled their part of the transaction so I don't think you should file a complaint through your credit card. You might have some kind of buyers protection through them though.

Well see this is the second time this has happened to me in a year and halfs time. Last time I argued with the post office about this they wouldn't budge and said nothing could be done since there was no insurance. I do not intend to take the fall for this again by losing money. Is there a way to file a claim against the postal service?

Insurance has nothing to do with the fact that they claim they delivered it and you dont have it..what is worse is your carrier claims they know nothing about it. They have to have some accountability when they claim it was scanned as delivered and you dont have it..and I know they can get information on their end if they input the confirmation number as to who scanned it etc. They just dont want to deal with it

If this has happened twice (scan shows delivered to you but you did not get the item) now is the time to contact the Postal Inspection Service. If you go to www.usps.com and search you should find a toll-free number. These are the people that investigate Postal Fraud and also dishonest employees.
