Hi. I've started selling on ebay this month and sold lots of items totally over $600.

Can anyone tell me what they do with their e-bay page after an item is paid, shipped and received. Do you print out all the information showing it was shipped and received (which I am doing along with the tracking info) and keep it on your ebay personal page or do you just delete it.

I'm a stickler for keeping things neat and pretty but not sure if there is a reason I need to keep items that were sold and received from the beginning of the month on my page :confused3

Thank you all VERY much!

If you are shipping via PayPal, all that will show in your PayPal history. I used to print everything out, but now I just download a spreadsheet with all the info from PayPal for tax purposes. I really don't separate out the ebay fees per item - I just pay that monthly and call it commission.

ETA I just re-read your question, if you're asking about the actual webpage in my ebay? I just leave those there in case there is an issue later, then it is easier to find.

I only accept payment through paypal so I do see that my paypal page automatically gets the shipping information (Tracking Number) when I note it in ebay. You are correct, I was asking about the actual e-bay page. I have a hard copy of what was sent and received by buyer so not sure if I also need to keep it online. I guess I will if that makes the most sense.
Thank you.

I am thinking about selling on ebay as well. If you don't mind me asking, what do you sell? Is it just things you have around the house that you want to get rid of? I'm trying to figure out if I can make some extra money doing this.

I don't delete anything until after feedback from the buyer has been posted. I then delete the info completely.

Ebay keeps track of everything in your seller account tab (all fees you paid, what it sold for, etc...). Paypal also store this info so no need to keep the pages on your items sold page.

Why delete anything? They fall off after a month anyway. If you need to look back, it is easier to find if you don't delete.

DipsyDoodles- things that you have around the house is a good way to get started. Then once you get a better feel for it, you can start looking at clearance, garage sales, thrift stores, for inventory. It can be tough to find things to make a profit on, and takes research and some lessons learned the hard way. It can work though for some fun money.

I just archive the item - ebay keeps the info there for the current month and the previous 3 months

it's under My ebay, Sold, Archived
