ebay purchase - what do you think?

I made a purchase on ebay (not alot of money, $7.50). This person had over 700 in feedback and 100% positive. Many of which said what great communication they had with her. I made my payment with an e-check through Paypal. I have e-mailed numerous times to find out when the item will be shipped and have not gotten 1 reply. I e-mailed from my ebay AOL account. Then thinking there may be a blocking problem - I sent from my yahoo account. Still no response. Today I sent a sellers question through ebay and have yet to hear anything. The e-check cleared on 3/4 so it should be in the mail.

How long should I wait before contacting ebay?
 
If you go to eBay and search for Dispute Resolution under the Help menu, they have a timeframe for things like this. Also, you ought to be able to get the seller's phone number from eBay - I haven't had to so I'm not exactly sure how to go about it, but again, if you go to their Help center and even use their "live" ask-a-question feature, they can assist you. And yes, lots of times there are "spam blocking" issues that prevent e-mails from going through, but since you've sent something through eBay you know they HAVE to get that one!

I'd be worried if I hadn't heard anything either, however, they may just not have time for correspondence right now and if the e-check just cleared a few days ago maybe your item is on the way. Maybe that's just me putting a positive spin on it but it's not like the payment cleared a month ago.

I bet that she shipped it already and it just hasn't arrived to you yet - I've had a lot of sellers not do a good job letting me know that an item shipped, but it does arrive safely and on time. How was she to ship it? If by priority, then wait a couple more days and bug her again. If by first class or parcel, then give her a full week or so past 3/4. I really don't think that you have anything to worry about yet!

If you have bought from me, that might happen. Just didn't have time to let 140 people know I shipped their item last week. I do ship within 2 business days, however and feel that is more important..to actually get the item out. They get one email from me..I thank them for payment, and tell them item will be shipped. That's it:)

If you cleared on the 4th, a Friday and they shipped on Monday or Tuesday (some people don't work on weekends ebaying) and it shipped first class or better, you should give it a couple more days..after ten days, from payment clearing I would worry.
 
I did an echeck and even though it cleared my bank last night, it still hasn't hit my ebay account. So I think it may take an extra day to post, being the seller didn't recieve until the 5th.
 
It just bothers me that she has 100% positive feedback and most of it says what great communication there is. I think a simply it's been shipped is not too much to ask. I think I'll see if it comes today. I still haven't heard anything - even through the ebay request.
 
starwood-I would maybe wait a couple of days and then try to contact them via their personal information from eBay. If you go to this eBay page, it tells you how to obtain their contact info:

They get one email from me..I thank them for payment, and tell them item will be shipped. That's it
DMRick-at least you are sending one that says "thanks I got your payment & I'm going to ship it." Most sellers (at those that I have been dealing with lately) don't even bother to acknowledge receipt of your payment whatsoever and don't ever email (beyond their initial invoice) to tell you thanks, got it, shipped it, or anything.

I've been having a great response (at least from my small amount of recent sales) that buyers are thrilled when I let them know that I got their payment and when their package shipped. Since I'm a small-time seller I can sell personalize the service.

i'll second what welovedis says....i'd wait a couple of days cuz I bet the item is in the mail. my b/f and I don't buy too much from ebay, but whenever we do it's from people who have excellent feedback, yet we still don't hear from them beyond the initial invoice. it's frustrating but apparently the way of ebay these days.
