As you all may have read from some of my past post, I have jumped on the "ebay your wat to WDW" boat. Well today I come in and decide to send out all my late payers a reminder (the auction ened on the 17th of March and today is the 31st). Well One person was fine I emailed her. Then I went to the next person who bid on one thing that was up to $4.80 when she won it and then picked the "buy now" option for 3 other things at $5 each. I go in and see next to her screen name (no longer a registered member)  . What the heck is this and what does it mean?
Has anyone ever had this done to them?
She was a registered member before, so what happened?
And do you think I will still get my money?

Only one out of the 4 I could contact for a 2nd chance offer (the $4.80 one) but the others she just did the buy now so there is no 2nd chance offer on them.

thanx

It sounds like she was suspended by ebay if she is no longer a registered member. I would say there is little chance you will see your money. You have been very patient. I send reminders after 3 and 6 days and on the 10th day send out a non-paying bidder alert. There are so many steps involved that it is a pia in my opinion. How many chances does someone need? I can see the 10 days just in case someone is on vacation or has internet problems, but wow, first a reminder than I think you have to give them 2 wks from the NPB alert - geeesh! I find most of my auctions that are going to actually be completed either are paid immediately thru paypal or the winner sends email about sending money order within the first 24 hours. If I haven't heard within 3-5 days, it seems there won't be any pay coming.

I just had something like that happen to me. I bought an item using BUY IT NOW. I paid for it immediately using PAYPAL (and I did not use the buyer protection thing, URGH!). Today, I received an email for EBAY stating that the auction was removed because the seller was suspended. I paid over $50 to this person and now I can't even get to the auction. I sent a message to EBAY, but it was very difficult, because their system requires an auction number and it said that the auction number was invalid. Duh! I doubt that I will ever see my purchase or my money again.

A few weeks ago, I had some items for sale. One person won three of my auctions. A couple of days later, I looked at the items that I sold and realized that these three auctions were gone. I looked the person's id up and found that she had been suspended. I had to eat the listing fees on 3 auctions.

I love Ebay most of the time, but this sort of thing is really irritating!

When I set up a Buy-It-Now auction, I require immediate payment by PayPal. That protects me from someone trying to get my auction off the boards and assures me that I will collect my money. You may want to do the same for future auctions.
