Ebay problem Help Please!

What do I do? I accidently posted an item twice. Once in a lot and once by itself. I did not realize it until tonight. I posted a lot of stuff at once and did not realize my mistake. I am new to this thing, so any help to correct this problem would be appreciated. Please tell me I am not the only one who has done this? I feel so stupid. Thanks!!

You should be able to go in and close the auction that is in error if there are no bids on it.

If no bids - then no worries. If there is a bid on the item then you'll need to cancel the bid before closing the auction. Be careful, if you close the auction early with a bid then Ebay will expect you to complete the transaction at the bid price. Good luck

Go to 'my Ebay', then the selling page. Go to the item in question and on the far right side of the screen, there should be the 'end item' option. (it might be in a drop down menu that starts with 'sell similar') Just click on 'end item' and follow the instructions.

Yes, too bad for me I have bids on both items. I can't believe I done that. Do you think I can email and explain it and see if they will take something else in exchange?

I'd probably send an email that tells them the situation and that you're going to cancel the bids and close the auction.

and follow the instructions. You will have an opportunity to give a reason for ending the auction, the bids will be cancelled and the bidders will be notified.

It's really not a big deal if you do it now, before the auction closes.

I would not try to offer a substitute item, not necessary and the bidders probably wouldn't be interested anyways. You really do not have to email them first, because they will be notified of why the acution ended, but you can if you want.

Most ebayers are very understanding. After all....we gotta protect that 100% feedback rating
