Ok we have decided to get rid of our disney pin collection so we have a few hundred pins to go up on e-bay.

I have a question about selling, I have bought thousands of times but have not sold yet.

I have a pay pal account and it is Personal not Premier. Can i take payments on my items or do I have to upgrade to the Premier?

Also what are all the fees that are going to be invovled if the pins go for around $5 each?

Good luck! I listed several Disney pins individually beginning at $3 and half didn't sell although all had watchers. I'm not sure $5 will sell unless they are really hot items. Perhaps a grouping of 5-10 pins would sell better.

I upgraded my paypal to premier so that I could accept cc because so many want to pay that way. With a personal paypal you can accept transfers of money from within an established paypal acct but not cc. Or you could just state you only take money orders but they can be a hassle to get.

I don't find the fees prohibitive at ebay or paypal and in two months I have cleared over $900. I can't really complain since that is way more than I've ever gotten with a yard sale. Most of my listings are under .50 and then the final value fee is dependent on the final bid. I believe ebay is offering free listings for new sellers so you should look soon.

Personal accounts can accept payments from paypal or bank account balance only (in this case the paypal account is linked to a user's bank account); sometimes debit cards are allowed, but most cases you will need to upgrade to Premier account to accept them. You will need to upgrade to a Premier account, and pay a transaction fee, to accept credit cards.

Sellers at a minimum pay "insertion fees" and "final values fees" (which does not include any selling extras). Fees are as follows:

Starting Price,
Opening Value or
Reserve Price Insertion Fee

$0.01 - $0.99 $0.30
$1.00 - $9.99 $0.35
--> $10.00 - $24.99 $0.60
$25.00 - $49.99 $1.20
$50.00 - $199.99 $2.40
$200.00 - $499.99 $3.60
$500.00 and up $4.80

The Final Value Fee is calculated per item sold, based on the final sale price of the item.

Closing Value Final Value Fee
-->$0 - $25 5.25% of the closing value
$25 - $1,000 5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31),
plus 2.75% of the remaining closing value balance ($25.01 to $1,000)
Over $1,000 5.25% of the initial $25 ($1.31),
plus 2.75% of the initial $25 - $1000 ($26.81),
plus 1.50% of the remaining closing value balance ($1000.01 - closing value)

As an option, you may want to list more than one pin in an auction. Hope this helps.

I frequently bid on (and once in a while I finally win) Disney pins on eBay. Because of the tremendous number of listings, I don't even look at single pins. I look for the auctions that include the word "lot" in the listing or watch sellers that I know sell big groups of pins.

I'm sure some buyers may search for keywords if they are looking for a particular pin, but I just don't have the time. Plus the shipping is usually too much to buy single pins.

JMHO.

I am a pin collector and seller.

First know you will not get your value on most pins. I don'y know how savy a collector you are but some pins are very valuable while others are dogs.

Make a list of all your pins you are selling using their proper hames from pinpics.com. You can also find about their desirability there.

I would first try to sell on a pin board - not here on the DIS but try dizpins.com. They have a sale board. You can put a list of pins at the price you want, no listing fees.

PM me if you would like some more tips.

Good luck.
