Ebay item shows delivered to wrong state...

I wish the OP would come back and give an update. I am going through this now. Ordered 3 books on eBay, 3/27, was shipping media so I wasn't too concerned that had not arrived yet. Until I just clicked on the tracking info:

I live in FL. The whole thing seems weird too that all this is in one day and all at same town/state. I hope this isn't some new kind of scam. What a PITA. I did pay through PayPal and just sent a note to the seller. We'll see.

Paypal will refund your money. I must add I feel ebay is going down the tubes as far as reliable sellers. 3 out of my last 4 purchases I had issues: non working items (DOA), broken pieces in shipment, seller asking for refund because she felt her posted shipping amount was too low, item received over 3 weeks after purchase, and side of envelop (shipment were yugioh cards) completely sliced open. Yes, all these things happened during my past 4 ebay purchases (only one transaction went smoothly). If I was you I would put your claim in for a refund and part ways with ebay. Sure ebay purchases are guaranteed, but isn't this a pain to go through? Not worth it.

I opened a case. A week later out of the blue the package showed up, ripped to shreds. It was in a bag with one of those notes saying it was damaged during transit. I have no idea what happened to it! It was a smaller box so maybe it got stuck in something. The tracking info never did showed it delivered (I'm guessing once it is marked 'delivered' then that is it?) Nothing ever happened with the case so I didn't get my money back. I'm guessing I needed to do something else. I better go check on that and close it. I actually forgot about it! Even though the item was not usable I'm just eating the cost (only $8) since the seller did ship the item the day they said they did. I have no idea what USPS did to it but it is not the sellers fault.

I hope you get your books luvchefmickey and they are not damaged.

Actually, it is still the seller's fault, legally anyway. The seller is legally required to get the item to you in the condition described. They paid USPS to do that for them. If USPS didn't do what they were paid to do, then the seller has a problem with USPS, and you get your money back.

There's probably a place where you need to "escalate" your case to eBay. The initial case is just a forum for communication between you and the seller. Once you escalate the case, you'll get a refund pretty quickly.
