I bid on and one several auctions from the same seller. In the original add there was no mentioning combined shipping costs. After bidding, I emailed the seller asking about possible shipping discounts. After a few days I received an emial saying that every 3rd pin is shipped free. That is still $30 odd dollars for 13 disney trading pins.

When I go to the pay now option w/paypal all the shipping charges are there in one shipment. Nearly $38 worth. I have emailed the seller twice for a corrected invoice with no response.
(I know that I should have resolved these issues prior to bidding but 20-20 as they say. The seller themselves told me 3 for 2 and it's still not reflected. I still think that $38 is excessive but oh well.)

How long should I wait to hear back? The auction ended Monday. I pay immediately and have never had this much trouble. I would think they would want their money.

How long do I wait and what more can I do? Thanks.

I did post this on the Budget board with no replies.

UPDATE:
I got the invoice finally and the shipping was $25. I didn't have the sellers paypal info prior so I couldn't do each one separately.
I paid but am waiting to see how it is shipped and what the actual shipping fee is.

How much difference is excessive? Should I just wait for my pins and let it go? I really don't want to be a PITA but if I see $5.00 postage when I paid $25 I am gonna be ticked. I know what the terms were but isn't there such a thing as leeway and give and take. When I started bidding I didn't realize they were all the same bidder but still the policy they emailed was every 3rd ships fee.

Any more advice from here on? Just leave it be?

There should be a spot on there where you can correct the invoice, menaing add/subtract money, do that and let it add up to $30.

just for that reason..the seller enters the information and I as a buyer have never been able to change it..I just go to the paypal page, and enter all the information manually..there's a place for the item #'s, the description, a box for shipping costs...if you have a copy of the seller's email telling you that every third pin will be shipped for free,(for proof in case you need it later)..then just manually enter the amount it should be in the shipping amount box, then under the notes or instructions box..tell the seller that the invoice was incorrect, that you have emailed them repeatedly for changes, and took matters into your own hands..hopefully they will go along with it, accept the payment, mail your pins, leave feedback, and all will be well
Good Luck!

It is a bummer that he isn't giving you a better discount on shipping but there is nothing you can do about that since you basically agreed to his terms when you bid on the item. LYNSTCH has the best advice. You can go directly to paypal and pay as long as you know the sellers paypal id.

Update in first post and bump.

Many selllers make a large percentage of their money on shipping. Ebay has tried to step down on this - but it still happens. On a thing like this - pins - it could cost them $3 a pin - but add them all together and place them in a Priority box and it could be as little as $5 or less for ALL of them.

The thing is - since you bid on the item first you may not have a whole lot recourse since the shipping costs were spelled out and he didn't up front offer reduced shipping costs.

if I buy more than one item from a seller..I never pay for each item separately, I just go to paypal, and put ALL of the item #'s, total the amounts, total the shipping, and pay that way..if you have an already 'on the fence' seller who could be poised to leave you negative feedback, paying for all the items separately could put them over the wall..they would be charged a paypal fee for each transaction!..if you list them all together..they only get charged one time!..of course if you are already mad at the seller, that's the way to pay them back..lol!

oh btw..all you need for paypal information is the seller's email address!

You cant do anything about shipping charges once you bid and win. All questions have to be asked up front and if you dont like shipping amount then dont bid. I got taken advantage of the first cpl of auctions i won on ebay and i learned very quickly to read all terms etc.
Learning that lesson isnt fun.
