ebay fiascos

OK , i was doing OK with eBay till yesterday...i ordered something last weekend, he emailed that he sent it and then the guy got suspended(after my " hey what 's up that you got suspended" email he swears he sent it and was suspended for selling to cheap...we'll see) today got step up rings i have been waiting for since July 31 2 of the same size instead of 1 each of 2 sizes, no response as yet to email ...and the big kahuna, lens advertised as for "Canon" clearly labeled
"Nikon" on box ( picture me , looking at it like duh..hey this looks so weird, what's this little metal thing sticking out... am i supposed to put it on some weird way , it looks to small, turn turn turn on canon body...does this maybe not fit?????then see NIKON ...and so that explains it ), also supposed to be AF and it says mf on the box...

so have i just hit a bad streak, does stuff like this accidentally happen or it is usually intentionally crooked? i need reassurance i 've had a lousy week! ( ebay is only the tiny tip of the gigantic pile of dung this past week has been )

Sorry to hear about your lousy week.

How was the feedback on the eBay sellers? Call me an optimist, but there's a decent chance it was accidental and an unfortunate coincidence that you had several bad experiences at once. Given the length of time you've waited, I'd probably be inclined to ask for a refund rather than replacement though.

the biggest item , the lens was i think just maybe ignorance on the seller...he thought a nikon was ok for a canon(?) but said he'd send me a refund including my shipping soon as he gets it back( tues according to dhl) apologized over and over

still nothing from suspended guy... maybe he can't reach the keyboard...bad joke, as in... supsended in mid air ...really bad joke if i gotta explain it

the rings are weird and will never deal with a hong kong place again( thought i wasn't due to currency they used but oh well) won't send me what i orderd till i send the second ( wrong ) ring they sent me...plus i have to pay shipping to send it back( cheap but it's really the principle...they show no remorse!) not sure if it would show up bad for me if i ask for a refund instead of the ring. i asked them when they plan on getting around to sending it. it looks like they mailed it air mail the 5th so where it's been for 2 weeks i have no idea and i wanted to use i for my uv filter incase i use my kit lens on vacation( first 2 wks sept). they are not that easy to deal with, maybe something is getting lost in translation. so it'll be close to 3 months to get a sticking step up ring hmmm don't think i'd do that again

Sorry about the bad luck, jann. Sending some good karma and some pixie dust your way. I keep going back and forth on ebay when it comes to camera stuff. I have never been gun-shy before with ebay but the camera stuff scares me for some reason! Maybe because I feel like *I* don't know exactly what *I* am doing! LOL! That can be dangerous and very expensive!

suspended guy sent my adobe and it works fine...i was afraid it was going to be pirated or something but it worked fine, registered fine and so far no FBI have shown up to haul me away

i emailed ebay and asked what to do about the not sent item and they said start a dispute( or something like that) with paypal so i did although i felt kind of dumb doing it for $10 but in the same token if they make a habit of it ,$10 x100=a bunch.

so i am breathing easier and will probably give a sigh of relief when i got the 100 back from the kid...think i'll stick with $20 or less items now on ebay though..can't take the stress right now
