eBay experts: Question about timing of auctions

I have not listed anything on eBay in probably three years, but back when I did use eBay a lot, I remember that Sunday evening was thougth to be the best time to both start and end an auction, based on data from somewhere about when people were online or when people were likely to bid or some other factor(s) that I can't remember.

I am getting ready to try a few listings again, and I am wondering if the thinking is still the same about when is the best time to start and end the auction?

Thanks!

I have not found any specific days that work really well for me one way or the other. I've tried several different methods and none seem any better than any other.

Haven't sold anything in the last few months, but I have always found a 3 day ending on Sunday around 7:00 pm (ish) was the best. I had tried longer, but didn't really get action until 3 days to go.

I find that even though an item is listed for 5 days or more, you might not see alot of bids, but you get a ton of views and watchers. Which makes for some bid wars at the end. Any auction ending on a weekday will end well. Not so much for auctions ending Friday or Saturday. I always list so they end when people are usually home from work.

I've had good luck with auctions ending in the afternoon on a Monday or Tuesday. I figure people must shop from work and by waiting for the afternoon, the entire US is open for business.

I have some things to auction, so I'll try Sunday. Thanks!
