Ebates question?

I just started using Ebates last week since I was making a bunch of online purchases for Christmas shopping. I bought things through their Barnes & Noble, Best Buy and Toys R Us links. So far my account has not been credited (Tuesday morning). I checked the FAQ and it said most purchases are verified within 48 hours. Does anyone have any feedback on how long it typically takes? Just want to make sure I am doing it right.

Most of mine are there within 3 days after purchase.

Different stores issue the credits at variable times. You can look at your tracking tickets to make sure that you were logged in correctly. I've had purchases credited the same day but the norm over the years has been several days to a week, depending upon how quickly some of the stores process orders. Many don't issue the credit until they have shipped the order.

I definitely see the tracking tickets in my history....so I guess I will wait a few more days. I was just getting nervous since all these other sites say usually within 48 hours.

My experience has been that it depends on the store. Some stores get the info to ebates really quickly so I see the amount in my ebates account within a couple days max. Some stores seem to take forever and in fact I have to stay on top of them to make sure it shows up at all. The worst offender of the stores I shop at is the Disney Store. They notify ebates once they actually ship and we all know how long it can take for them to ship but there have been a couple times I've had to open up an inquiry with ebates over Disney Store purchases to get the purchase to show in my ebates account. Ebates will post the rebate to your account once the store notifies them the the purchase has been completed.

I miss the days where ebay worked with ebates. If only amazon would.

I agree. Sometimes it's almost immediately, and sometimes it's a LOT slower. I've always gotten it though.

I always receive an email stating that I have made a purchase from and the company's name usually the next day. I've been racking up the $ shopping on line.

You can manually enter them in. I made 2 purchases with Zales within minutes of each other and after a few days 1 had posted but the other did not. I you click on contact customer care and enter tracking ticket number and dollar amount etc they will enter into your account within 24 hours.

Hmmm, I still don't see anything and I have gotten no emails except for their normal promotional ones. I think I will go in and enter the tracking number and see what happens. Thanks guys!

Not sure about the others but Barnes & Noble seems like it always takes a long time to post.

Well I did get an email and saw the credit finally from my toys r us purchase...so I feel a bit better now that I did do everything correctly. The last part of my TRU order shipped yesterday so I bet that is what triggered it.

Been using Ebates for years and rarely have an issue. There are certain merchants which don't post until after my item ships.

Ebates customer service is great. If I have an issue, I simply e-mail the shoping pruchase receipt and they take care of it.
