We are tentatively meeting some friends at Disney in February. They will be on the dining plan but we will not. Can we still eat (TS) together? They will obviously be paying with their dining credits and we will be paying our own bill.

I don't see why not? Last May we had family visiting us for the day who weren't on the dining plan. We put our meals on the dining plan and the wait staff put their meals on a separate check.

Yep, 3 weeks ago we were there for 9 days and our in-laws (who live close by in Daytona) joined us for 3 TS meals. Waitress just puts you on separate checks no problem. Even if you are eating with friends from a different room you would have separate checks cause they have there own DDP card.

We just got back from a trip where we were joined by friends for a few meals and some were not on the plan & some were. Since we were a large group, it was important to be sure the server was clear on who was with who and who was on the plan. One night our checks were a bit mixed up, so it took a few minutes to straighten it out, but was not a big problem. We also had alcohol and some DDE's, so that made it even more complicated. But, oh what fun we had:rotfl:
