Did anyone watch this last night? It was a real eye-opener for me. DH and I recorded it and watched it late last night. I have kept it on my Sky + and intend to watch it whenver I feel tempted to break the diet
I think the guy, Michael, made a good poiint when comparing a fat person to an alcoholic. For those who didn't see it, he basically said that when an alcoholic or drug addict quits, they give it up totally but when you're on a diet you eat a little bit and then have to stop yourself from eating more. He compared it to telling an alcoholic that they can have a sip of alcohol and then no more until a bit later on and so on. A fair point, I think and perhaps why dieting is so very difficult.
So, did anyone else who saw it have any thoughts. I thought it was sad that one of them died during the making of the programme but wasn't so sympathetic when he was constantly flouting the rules of the diet clinic by eating burgers and junk food - and more fool his wife for bringing them in for him
