Okay, my visits to Disney is nearing double digits but it's been 3 years and I'm a little rusty. Tagging along with the wife and I will be an 8 and 5 year old, known as our kids. We've got a bunch of favs and a few newbies that we might try. Disney experts, I'm looking for you're advice to guide us thru 7 days of eating the best WDW has to offer.

Breakfast-
Grand Floridian Cafe
Kona Cafe
1900 Park Fair
Boma (staying at AKL)

Dinner-
Teppan Edo
T-Rex
Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre (my son loves eating in cars!!)
Cape May (the wifes choice)

On the Bubbble-
La Cellier
Chef Mickey's
Fulton's (king crab claws are to die for)

What about Ohana? Breakfast or dinner..

I haven't had CM for bfast but I'd skip it if you were thinking dinner. Its fun to meet the fab 5, but not that great foodwise.

What you have sounds good...nice variety :)

So many restaurants, so little time.........

More info, please. Are you looking for 1 TS per day (DDP), 2-3 per day (DxDP), or paying out of pocket? If you are on any of the dining plans, the kids will have to pick from the childrens' menu. That creates a real problem for some families but not for others. Do you have an especially picky eater? An especially adventurous (or voracious) one who will not be satisfied with kid selections/portions? Do you have Park Hoppers or do your meals need to be either in a specific park or at a resort? Right now 3 of your 4 bfs are at MK area while your dinners are all over the place with nothing at MK.

Are you on a DP? Fulton's and T-Rex aren't on the DP and Le Cellier, if you go for dinner, will cost you 2 credits each. If you're paying OOP, then no prob! Have you done T-Rex before? We did it last time and I wasn't impressed. Just another chain restaurant and while the atmosphere is cool, the food was nothing to write home about. Just like a Rainforest Cafe and I think they may even be owned by the same company.

Just for consideration...

The 'Ohana breakfast is our favorite character meal!

how about La Hacienda or Via Napoli for dinner? We had a not-so-magical experience at T-Rex (extremely LOUD :headache: and crowded :crowded: at 3:30 in the afternoon!!), but I certainly understand that everyone has different tastes and different experiences of their own.

Your list looks great! Have a great time.

That is an aweful lot of food. Do you usually eat 2 big sit down meals a day? I find kids (my kids anyway and myself included) don't usually eat that much. We usually go with 1 sit down a day. As for the restaurants you chose we have eaten at 1900 P.F., Teppan Edo (very fun), T-Rex although loud and food just o.k. I liked it better than Rainforest kids liked it:) Sci-Fi we do every trip it's my boys fav. (Very cool atmosphere), Cape May (b-fast and dinner) I liked the dinner better crab legs were good. Le Cellier was excellent and Chef mickey's I know it sometimes gets a bad review but to me it's a must do if it's you're 1st or even 2nd trip. We haven't done it in a couple of years. I thought the food at dinner was good! Hope you have a magical time!!

I have eaten at most of those restaurants. That being said, Le Cellier is a must if your like a great steak. I have eaten too many steaks in my day and the mushroom filet atLe Cellier is at the top of the list. Hopefully now that it is a signature restaurant, it will not be as difficult to book a reservation.

You are right..that is a lot of sit downs. We won't be doing a dining plan. We have an 8 and 5 year old and they have their moments and sometimes little patience. We'll have park hoppers so we can pop in and out as needed. Have a feeling many meals will be had in the Mara at the AKL.
-We hit O'Hana years ago for an easter brunch. Didn't love it.
-Would only do Chef Mickey's for dinner. The atmosphere of course is fantastic and food is so-so.
-My 5 year old is very picky and my 8 year old will eat anything in sight.

OK, that gives us more to go on. OOP is actually much easier with your two kids because the 5 yr old does not have to order a full meal at all; can share plates, just order a side of macaroni & a dessert - whatever appeals to her at the moment!

For breakfast I'd drop the GF Cafe in favor of CP before the park opens. You get the extra magic of Main Street without the crowds, pretty good food, and lower cost for breakfast than any other meal of the day. 1900PF? I dunno; depends on whether you really want those characters (especially if you are going to do the CP breakfast); otherwise I'd scrap it.

I'd also scrap T-Rex; cute but not 'Disney' to me. You're not that crazy about CM's food and dinner is, of course, the most expensive option. I would say to skip it. I also would not recommend Fultons; you are going to get good crab legs at Cape May and don't need to duplicate.

You are eating at Boma (yum) and the AKL food court so you may not want any meals in the AK park. If you do and want a sit-down, Yak & Yeti TS has good food and more choices than many places.

Have you considered a night on the Boardwalk instead of DTD? Splurge on dinner at Flying Fish; wander the boardwalk and enjoy the entertainment.

Quinn- I like where your heads at. Great insight. Took me a while to figure out what OOP was. Too funny.

Your so right...we might scrap fulton's and chef mickey's.
We love the boardwalk and totally forgot about those restaurants. Flying fish might be too much for your little guy but the rest of the fam loves seafood. We did Big River Grill last trip as a last minute thing and like it. The kids love the games on the boardwalk and the DW is totally turned off by the ESPN Club. She knows better to go there since I she'll lose my undivided attention for a while.

I used to go to Cape May as a kid and loved it. As I got older and experienced good seafood, CM lost it's luster. We love the Beach Club and my DW and I stayed there prior to kids.

One thing I can't do is drop the GF Cafe. I love sipping my coffee and looking out the windows in that place. Usually, you can get right in too.

Where are you staying when you go in May?

Last week I was in Orlando for a meeting. I had dinner one night at Chefs de France. I had the beef tenderlion which comes with au gratin potatoes and green beans. It was excellent. Also had a bowl of lobster bisque before my dinner was served to me. It was soooooo good.

I agree with GF Cafe - they have great Eggs Benedict (also had those last week for breakfast). But I'm not a fan of Kona. They ruined two meals I had there, so I don't go there any more.
