Eating out with relatives - a small vent

Just back from eating with MIL and with SIL and neice and nephew who are here from Iowa - now they say we are meeting for dinner at such and such time at such and such place - dinner at 5 pm - traffic was terrible tonight - finally got there about 5:20 - they had gone ahead and ordered and were halfway done eating by the time we got there - they couldn't wait 20 minutes for us - geesh

How rude!!! I would think they would have realized that would be a busy traffic time. Maybe if you were an hour late, but 20 minutes??!! They must have ordered right at 5 to be half done eating by the time you got there!

Thanks for agreeing with me about it being just plain rude - any way decided that Kara and I are just going to be too busy with homework and such instead of going to tomorrow night's dinner - he he he

Maybe you should go tomorrow night and get there a half hour earlier than planned so you can be done eating by the time they get there!
