hi all:wave:
we have just booked our halloween tix:bounce: but have decided not to eat at LTT
so my question is what do you do for food on a party night?do you eat at a sit down place in the park itself or do you snack in the park through the night or maybe you eat outside the park before you head in:D we are not sure where to go or what to eat:rolleyes: i would love to hear what you do on your night of mnsshp:D

thanks eve::MinnieMo

Not for nothin' but our plans are as follows........we have a PS at Liberty Tavern for 5:35 on the night of our MNSSHP but I am going to try and get the last seating for Crystal Palace........where we really want to go that night. I have got the back up in place if my real plan fails.

hi bets:wave:

i was looking at CP,but i suppose we need to book right on the 90 day window to get what time you want:D

This will be our first time attending the Halloween Party. Can someone tell me why everyone wants to eat at LTT? Is it just because it's the one you can book so for in advance, or is there something special about it?

If you choose not to eat there, can you do like the poster above suggested and book CP or somewhere else for late in the afternoon, will that work out with the party?

Thanks!

Erika

People have stated that the characters are in costume wearing masks at the LTT.
Eve, we arrive on the 29th of Oct. (date we are going to the party), so we are just going to eat at the food court at POFQ when we arrive, then head over to MNSSHP.
I really am following you today!:)

dina:wave:
i too was thinking of eating at the food court::yes:: but we are staying at all star movies and we were not keen on the food there the last time,so then i was thinking of eating at CP or maybe a late lunch and then just sit and have a snack from counter service:D so many decisions to make but at least i'll have a while to try and make up my mind:D
i won't be following you for much longer now(i promise;) )dh is waiting to get on the pc::yes::

Eve, yup waiting for the 90 window and then remembering the darn day will be hard to do. We have eaten outside the party and even at the counter services before.........but that was kind of dicey as they tend to close around 5 or so, then reopen for the party. This way I have something solid in place and the kids will be happy. Plus seeing the charectors in costume is really cool. We are going to the October 31 party and it is always a sell out but fun. My kids are not much on the candy(where they came from I don't know as both hubby and I love the stuff) and like the extra party stuff to do.

hi betst82:wave:
where are you eating on your party night?,am i right in saying some of the counter service could be closed between when the park closes and re-opens again?if that is the case i'd better book somewhere to eat:D
sorry if i sound a bit thick::yes:: we have never done mnsshp before so it's all new to us:D

thens eve

We have a reservation this time at LTT for 5:35 but I really am waiting for the last seating for Crystal Palace. Then we can be done with the whole food thing and hang out in fantasy land and get the pictures done early. With CP I have to wait 90 days out to make that happen. I really was shocked the first time I did MNSSHP and the counter services were closed..........my kids were hungry and I felt like a fool. The next time we went we made sure we at before they closed at a counter service. Now I want to sit and have a meal if I can't get what I want for a PS at CP then I at the very least a sit down with the charectors who are dressed up in costume. Having this forum would have helped me the first time I had gone but...........hind sight 20/20, but blind as a bat otherwise:teeth: Remember to find some thing to eat prior or you will loose time at the party. IMHO.

Hi i am also in the same boat. this is my first MNSSHP and I am just trying to figure out if we should get PS's or not. I am leaning toward no PS's but doing the counter service b/c I don't want to waste any ride time. (We are going with 4 little ones) Now I read above that the counter service places close? Is this only for an hour...between 6:00 and 7:00??? Now I am assuming that the rides will be up and running during that changeover time....Am I right or just darn confused???;) Thanks all!

This is what we're doing- spending the AM at MGM and heading to Wilderness Lodge for a late (big) lunch at Whispering Canyon Cafe. (I'm aiming for a 2:30 PS). Then we will head over to MK around 4, 4:30 and perhaps get a quick snack at counter service as the evening goes on- maybe a pretzel or a hot dog or something. From what I have read, counter service will be available & I don't think grabbing a hot dog or what have you will take that much time away from the party. :D

hygienejean---go over to the trip planning board- there is an entire thread at the top devoted to MNSSHP and let's you know what is open and when. From what I gather, we are herded to Tomorrowland from 6-7 (unless you have a PS at a sitdown restaurant) and the rides there are open, as is Cosmic Rays. From 7 on, other counter service places are open, as well as the majority of the attractions.

Several years have been that only fantasyland has been the only one open for the change over not tomorrowland. So just in case be prepared to have no eating or very limited options between the change over. I caught me unawares with a 18 month old and a three year old........not to forget the grumpy 35 year old male (dh). And there was nothing open. Plan for the worst case and be surprised.

Any chance you could post a link to that thread??

Thanks!

We are going to do an early park, long afternoon rest break and then have an early dinner at the Contemporary. Probably concourse steak house for us but if you want another option for a character dinner you could do an early seating for Chef Mickey's and then just walk or hop the monorial to MK.

We're doing MNSSHP on the 20th and staying at SSR. Our plan is based around hitting the party a little bit later (we don't have kids) and seeing the fireworks, then the second parade. We may catch dinner back at our resort or hit World Showcase counter service depending on what we're in the mood for. I can't wait!

hi all:wave:
firstly,sorry i took so long to post back::yes::
thank you all for your replies and all of suggestions:D

bets,i am going to try and get ps's for crystal palace::yes:: but i would imagine this would fill up pretty quickly,if i don't manage to get this i might try and get a late lunch at kona cafe(have always wanted to eat here)and then like alice has said just snack later in the evening:D

thanks again eve::MinnieMo

We had an early dinner at 'Ohanas. Food was great and we had a good time. There were lots of kids dressed up eating there also.
