Eating inside show venues

I have read that Japanese are pretty particular about eating & walking at the same time.
So I wonder how it is like to eat snacks like popcorn inside a show venue...
My guess is that outdoors show like Fantasmic! & It's Christmas time ! is OK.
But what about Song of Mirage or Big Band Beat... OK or not?

Sorry about all these questions.... basically it's been a loooong time since I been to TDL and not aware of these Japanese etiquette.

Personally, I wouldn't eat popcorn or anything like that during a show in the states so I wouldn't do it in Japan either.

Typically I will be recording it, so it more for the kids.
I planned for popcorn while waiting during Fantasmic and probably Hello New York.
Have no plans of it for indoors venue.
Just asking if it is possible.

You can eat at the outdoor venues but the culture is more to eat while waiting for the show to start rather than when the show has actually started. If I remember correctly, eating is allowed in the theaters but nobody really does it.
