Eating in the Parks - Ressie req'd?

If we are going to try and eat dinner at a sit down restaurant in Epcot on a Friday night, are reservations required? Or can we just walk in? We're not sure where we want to go or what time yet...we were planning on playing dinner by ear that night. But I guess if we have to make a reservation, we will!

The Epcot restaurants are VERY popular. I wouldn't try it without a reservation.

Since the DDP began, many restaurants have begun turning away people without a reservation. They may not let you wait for a table.

The thing about reservations is that it gives you options. If you want to eat at a counter service...you can, or you can eat at a sit down restaurant. No Ressie...no eatie at sit down.

We plan our reservations 6 months in advance. If we want to change, we can, but, we have a base to work from. We like to eat at La Cellier and that is the only way to get in there. If it is easy to get a ressie (same day) it may not just be that the park isn't full.

I have read a lot of recent trip reports where people with ADRs are waiting for their table and the CM at the restaurants are turning away people without ressies, telling them they have no open tables.

With so many people using the DDP now there are more and more people at TS places and ressies are needed.
