This time our family is to attempt to eat and/or drink around the world. I was wondering what are some of your favorite snacks and drinks in Epcot?

I’ve done beers around the world a few times but stay away from the hard liquor drinks. If you want to drink and snack at every country then I think your family will be very full and drunk!

My dh and I share drinks around the world. That way you can sample more and not overindulge too bad.

I like the cheddar cheese soup and steak in Canada. We have also found the Hawaii and Mexico booths to be favorites.

The Gran Marnier slushie served at the booth in the France pavilion. I'm not big on sweet drinks but this stuff is da bomb. Down a couple of these real fast and you can actually speak French, or you'll think you can;)

This is my 20th trip and I don't ever remember seeing Hawaiian anything. What are at these two booths?

There will be seven of us to split everything so we're really looking forward to just a couple sips or bites at each place.

Avocado margarita from La cava.

Roule fromage & brioche chocolate from Les Halles. Champagne doesn’t hurt either.

Nudel gratin from Sommerfest

I'll second La Cava's avocado margarita (also like the cucumber margarita, and the jalapeño margarita, and the...) OK , they're all pretty good. It is an amazing place to learn about all the different types of tequila. Sometimes, my drinking around the world never makes it out of Mexico!

Norway: The school bread is hugely popular, but my favorite snack there is the sweet almond pretzel.

China: I usually skip because I'm too full of tequila and bread at this point. I might do the Reflectons of China show if I'm in need of air conditioning.

Germany: Ready to eat and drink again! Bratwurst with sauerkraut from Sommerfest and a riesling spatlese or pinot gris from the Weinkeller. Most Americans think "beer and brats," but a slightly sweet and high-acid wine is a perfect pairing with sausage and kraut.

Italy: Wine and antipasti from Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. Wine selection and quality goes far beyond the other pavilions.

American Adventure: Block & Hans for craft beers

Japan: Candy/crackers/other goodies from Mitsukoshi and maybe a tasting from the sake bar at the back of the store. Japan has the nicest CMs, so it is always a pleasure to visit this store.

Morocco: Hummus fries from Spice Road Table (or from a kiosk during festivals).

France: Anything from Les Halles bakery and a glass of Nicolas Feuillate Champagne. Maybe some ice cream or sorbet from L'Artisan des Glaces--crazy good stuff!

UK: A Scotch egg and a pub blend ale (black & tan, etc.) from Rose & Crown pub. They have an unusual cocktail called a Welsh Dragon if you don't mind sweet and potent. Good Scotch whisky, too, but that can be dangerous at this point on the journey!

Canada: Unibroue from the beer cart or ice wine from the Trading Post.

One difference in my selections is that many of them are from indoor locations, rather than kiosks. Altough it takes longer, it is an excellent escape from the Florida heat.

Drink LOTS of water throughout the world!

These are amazing suggestions! We tried school bread last time so I think I need to give the pretzel a try this time.

Mexico- margaritas, nachos and queso all from La Cava del Tequilia

Norway- anything from Kringla Bakeri, school bread is super popular

China- tipsy ducks in love is an excellent drink and the egg rolls are always good

Germany- any of their draft beers and nudel graten if you like cheese... pro-tip, order a side of sauerkraut with it for $1, goes really well together

Italy- I stick to a glass of red wine here, Via Napoli for some solid pizza, or a small plate in Tutto Gusto

America- I usually get a craft beer and a funnel cake

Japan- go to the sake bar in the back of Mitsukoshi and try a couple sampling’s. You can also get frozen Kirin draft beer here too, but I only enjoy that if it’s super hot out. If you’re hungry the sushi from Katsura Grill is quick and decent

Morocco- Spice Road Table has a full walk up bar with good cocktails, and the QS (forget the name) has large portions of hummus and flaffel plates that can be split

France- the Grand Mariner slush is one of my personal favorites, and the macaroons from Les Halles are great. Get the ice cream martini from L’Artisan des Glaces if you’re feeling ambitious.

UK- fish and chips, any authentic draft from the pub

Canada- check the refreshment port for their seasonal poutine, and Epcot has been known to test new items there from time to time so it’s worth checking out often. I usually stick to beer in Canada as well

Hope this helps, eating/drinking around the world is one of my favorite things to do in Disney!

You are making me reminisce about the good old days of DIS Drink Around the World Meets back in the 90’s and early 2000’s. So fun! Met such great new people. We usually started in France for a late breakfast and ended in the UK. Most of us would share the majority of drinks. Here are some of our favorites:

* France = something from the bakery and a Grey Goose Slushie or glass of champagne
* Morocco = Tangerine Daquri
* Japan = head to Katsura Grill for some sushi and a hot sake
* American Adventure = usually split a beer from Block & Hans
* Italy = wine (usually a glass of Rosa Regale) and a gelato
* Germany = pretzel or brat and a Becks
* China = mixed drink from Joy of Tea and an eggroll
* Norway = they used to have an awesome Viking beer here, but no longer. The new ones aren’t bad. If you are wanting a coffee drink the Viking coffee is very good. And of course school bread
* Mexico = churros and margaritas
* Canada = cheese soup
* UK = hate to say it but we usually ended at R&C for a car bomb and a batter banger and chips

Then we weave our way back to BWV or BCV. LOL!

I love drinking around the World, but it gets expensive fast. I can hold own with the drinks but we share food. Usually split over 2-3 days.

Refreshment stand- dragon berry refresher
Canada- La Fin du Monde
UK- beer in Rose and Crown pub, fish and chips
France- frozen martini, pastries
Morocco- Tangierine Cafe CS
US- Red Stag lemonade, funnel cake
Italy-Wine
Germany- beer, huge soft pretzel
China- Tipsy Ducks in Love
Norway- School Bread, lefse
Mexico- margarita, empanadas, guacamole at Chorzo de Margarita

If La Cava del Tequila is full you can get take away margaritas from there, much better than the margaritas from the kiosks outside. The pretzels are great from Germany, but if you fancy something sweet there don't forget Karamel-Kuche. I love the dark chocolate salted caramel. Italy has a great margarita with limoncello in. Pot stickers at Lotus Blossom Cafe are good drinking food.

So I have to ask, what is the difference between viking coffee/beer and ours?

Sweet! Do you happen to know if you can get these to-go all the time or only when they're full?

As far as I know you can, just ask at the bar and they should give you a plastic cup instead of glass and you're good to go.

This is good to know, thanks. We've always skipped the kiosk outside but skipped La Cava, too, since it's been packed-to-the-gills when we walk through there.

So I have to ask, what is the difference between viking coffee/beer and ours?

Viking coffee is Just regular coffee flavored with Kamora Coffee Liqueur and Baileys Irish Cream. Viking beer was a special brand they had from Norway. It also came in 32oz glasses. Yikes!
