Eating before MVMCP

I've made my reservations for the party, but want to be there before opening, as I've heard that sometimes they open early.

We are staying at the Poly, it's just hubby and me this time (no kids). I've wanted to eat at the LTT for several visits, but I don't want to plan in any character meals this time, so I was thinking of Kona, or O'hana's early, and then over to MK. Is it really THAT much of an advantage to eat at LTT and be IN the park, or will being there early be good enough to get pictures etc. done before crowds???? I guess we COULD do a character meal if it REALLY made a difference.

I would eat in the park and get an early reservation so you are ready to go. I remember that the MK got very busy. Although I like the other restaurants you mentioned I don't think you will enjoy them as you will always be thinking of eating and getting over to the MK. Is the LLT the only restaurant open? How about the castle?. Don't lose time with a late ressie though. Just my opinion. Good luck

If you don't want LTT, then at 60 days out you can see what else is open. I know for sure Crystal Palace will be open and I think maybe the Castle too.

I've done it both ways and much preferred already being in the park after dinner.

Unless you can eat early enough outside the park to get to MK early, I'd eat inside the park.

We're also staying at the Poly and going to MVMCP our plan is to go to the park early afternoon and porbably hit Cosmic Rays for a quick burger before the park "closes"... I personally don't feel it necessary to have a full sit down meal everyday whilst at the parks... JMHO!!

We also did Cosmic Ray's before the party. It was nice to just sit, relax, eat some yummy chicken and watch the park clear out before the party. After we ate, we went right over to where they were taking pictures (there's a few locations for this, but we went to the Carousel of Progress for it). We were standing in line no longer than 10 minutes for that since we went so early.

If you want to eat in MK before MVMCP make PS as early as possible the good time slots fill up fast on party days. We missed out on eating inside the park, but we ate at Kona's. It worked out well, we sat down shortly after they opened, hopped the monorail when we were done and were in the park about 15min before the party started. If you haven't done MVMCP before, you will find you will need a good plan of attack and do not want to waste time trying to eat inside a restaurant.

Thanks for the responces. My plan WAS the Kona early, but I like the Cosmic Rays idea too. Never ate there. Now if we are eating there, how do they know we're for the party. Don't mean to sound dumb, but this is one Disney thing I've never done yet. I KNOW how important it is to know what you're doing!!!

I've thought about the whole thing and although I may not get that dinner at Kona, I'm going to choose either the Plaza or Cosmic Ray's. Thanks again so much!!!

If you go to the gates about 4pm and show them your tx they will give you coloured wristbands, this identifies you as partygoers

Look out we may well see you at the poly and the party!!
