I recommend Dine with Shamu. You get a close-up view of an orca while you eat. The trainer does a couple of tricks with shamu while you eat. I hear that they have a trainer come to your table also to answer questions about being a shamu trainer. They did not have the trainer visiting tables during our last visit in 2005, but this sounds like a cool addition. The food is pretty good too. My family has always loved this experience, especially my DS12, who has stated to us he is going to be a marine biologist and eventually become a shamu trainer. Another great place to eat is Sharks Underwater Grill. If you've been to Coral Reef it's similar. You can watch the sharks while you eat. The food is excellent and there's even something for the kids if they don't want to eat shark meat. My DD3 enjoyed getting her drink in a cup holder that was shaped like a shark's head. A great experience for the whole family.

I hope this helps!

We have only eaten CS during our visits and have found it to be the best of all the parks.

The pizza place was excellent. I got 1/2 rotisserie chicken, LARGE portion of roasted veggies, and LARGE portion of fries for either $9 or $10. If you're not a big eater, it could very easily be split. And it was very good. They also have a salmon with the same sides, though I've never had that. And of course pizza, which was very good and you get a big piece with, I think, fries...it was a couple years ago, so that could have changed.

I'm not sure if you have kids, but their kid's meals are very good as well...mac & cheese, pizza, hot dog and something else (sorry, I can't remember), plus a side of fries (huge amount), box of raisens, and a kids drink for $6-7. And it comes in a Shamu lunch box container (which my son is currently using to 'eat' his Lego figures).

Dine with Shamu is overpriced massively IMO.

I personally just love the bakery ;)

I've liked the sandwich shop near the free beer.

Deli next to the free beer (Clydesdales), and Voyagers (next to sky tower) are favorites of mine. For the deli, go at 11:30am because at noon the line gets huge. The free beer starts at 11am.

For Voyagers order a slice of pizza, costs $8 but comes with a huge mound of fries. Two kids could easily share a slice.
