In about a month one of my daughters is starting the Disney College Program. When we are there to move her in we will be staying at OKW and BRV. However, I really want to stop by Caribbean Beach and grab a Cuban sandwich at Center Town Market. Any idea if that is allowed now?

It’s never been a problem if you use Disney transportation to get to the other resort (except Contempo Cafe that is sometimes only available to resort guests)

If you are staying on site, the parking guard might be OK letting you into Caribbean Beach. Or you could park at DHS and take the Skyliner.

We went to CBR earlier this year when we were staying at SSR and it was no issue. As the last person said, we used Disney transportation. We were at DS, so we just took the CBR bus from there.

But what if you are driving your own car? Will they turn you away at the gate? I assume you can mobile order - but I have not been back since mobile order became the way to get your food. Do you have to be on the property to order, or could I order my food while at OKW, drive over to CBR, and then be allowed in?

Things have been a lot tighter lately and have only allowed in people who have a dining reservation. You may have less push back at some moderate resorts or resorts with more ample parking, but I know others have reported at places like Beach Club/Boardwalk/BLT/Poly you need to have a dining reservation to be let in by car/uber. We were checked in July when we ubered to a few places that we had dining reservations, which we did.

You are more likely to be turned away at a resort with easy access to one of the parks - e.g., CBR is the Skyliner hub, with easy access to both Epcot and DHS. Disney is trying to prevent people from parking at those resorts to avoid paying for parking and taking up parking spaces needed by guests at those resorts. Sometimes a mobile order will get you through the gates, sometimes it won't, and there's no clear cut answer to give you, sorry.

I have not been since covid restrictions but since my kids were small in the eighties up to now in their 30+year you are never turned away at a moderate or value like a pop century. My kids wanted to play on the games machines and play in the pools at all-star resorts. You can't book a reservation at a till-only food hall but I am sure the new apps allow you to order your sandwich in advance. been a DVC member for 22 years. You are there to have fun and do what you want within reason.

As others mentioned, what worked in 2019 doesn’t always work in 2021, as they have changed.

I really don't understand the reasoning behind this.
Because a LOT of people lie and say they are there to eat, but are really only circumventing the TTC so they can use the walkway from Contemporary to MK. MK has no rideshare drop-off area at the main entrance, so you have to get dropped off at the TTC. It's a trick most Lyft and Uber drivers know and try to use whenever they have a rider headed to MK.
