Hope someone here has an answer to this question

Are we allowed to order in food using Uber eats at a Disney resort that we are not staying at?

For example, we are staying at CBR and are going to MK for the day, can we go to the contemporary resort, order Uber eats from a restaurant, have it delivered to the contemporary, and eat it in the lobby of the resort, even though we are not staying there?

I would hate to have to go all the way back to CBR just to go eat

TIA,

Nathan

Yes since you meet your Uber eats driver on the driveway. I would not suggest trying to eat in the lobby area but there are other great areas around the CR.

There is seating out by the Sand Bar near the feature pool, and down by the dock is another great area. If you wonder around a little while you will find other areas that you might enjoy for example the 4th floor observation area on then north end of the Atrium.

Question though - how are you getting to the Contemporary?

Uber or Lyft (with passengers) is not allowed to enter unless you are staying there or have an ADR. And you're not allowed to park there if you're not staying there.

We would be taking the monorail or walking from the Magic Kingdom, I just don’t want to go back to CBR

I just wanted to make sure that you knew this (from the Disney website): "Kosher meals are offered at all table-service and select quick-service restaurants. Kosher meals should be requested 24 hours in advance by calling (407) 939-3463. Guests younger than 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call. Also be sure to indicate any dietary requests upon arrival at your dining location. Please know there may be a longer wait time due to the special care we take to provide a kosher meal." Obviously, you can order/ eat from wherever you feel most comfortable, but just wanted you to know that Kosher meals are available. Have a great trip!

Yes, we’ve done that many of times, but it is reheated food that is wrapped in order to make sure that it is strictly kosher. So it’s not 100% fresh, it is a frozen meal. There is a strictly kosher restaurant about a half an hour away from Walt Disney World, we order from them by Uber delivered directly to the resort and it is cooked fresh and much tastier.

hmmm interesting situation. I can’t really think of any way for Disney to prevent this. I don’t think uber drivers get last names from the people they delivering from so I don’t know how they will be able to confirm reservations. I guess it’s possible

The kosher food at WDW is not good. It doesn’t matter what restaurant you order from it’s all the same food, reheated plastic covered meals. There’s a kosher restaurant called Krembo nearby that’s pretty good.

Are you referring to ordering food FROM Disney's Contemporary Resort or ordering food from a restaurant outside of Disney?

Third party restaurant off property delivered by Uber Eats.

Dave
It’s likely that the food delivery driver may be shown the TTC and not be let in since neither you nor the driver doesn’t have an ADR or room. If you’re able, you may wish to consider your onsite restaurants.

But uber eats drivers don’t get first and last names like ever whether someone is booked there or not

Oh...so sorry.. That's disappointing to hear. I'm so happy that there is a viable option, though. Again, enjoy your trip!!
