I am having real trouble deciding what to de meal-wise for MNSSHP.

I want to get the absolutel most party time and want to be at the MK partying from 5pm , so I figure these are my options:

1- At a large lunch at our resort, or elsewhere at like 3pm, so we can be at the MK for 5pm.

1- Head to the MK at 4pm and have CP or a Counter Service meal.

I just worry Jack's going to get hungry at like 8pm and then we'll have a huge queue for a hot dog or something which will take 30 minutes of peak halloween time away from us. So I thought perhaps the CP buffet would fill him up a bit more for the evening, although I know 5-12 is a long time to stop a man from eating - but I guess he'll have plenty of sweets!!

What do you guys do? Are the lines for CS and snacks really long? Or will we be able to grad pretzels and stuff without too much trouble?

I don't remember the CS and snack lines being that long when we went.

Our plan is to head to MK for about 4.30 and eat at the Plaza (if we can get the ADR we want). If not, we are at Typhoon Lagoon during the day so will probably get something there and then CS later on in the evening.

Awesome, thanks everyone. :) Pecos Bill sounds a good bet. Or maybe CHH if I haven't had a lighthouse sandwich by then.

Last time we went, we ate at the Liberty Tree (whilst it still had characters), before MNSSHP. The kids then snacked on the sweets (of which we had bags and bags!), and we found that we didn't need anything more...

If you only have a MNSSHP ticket and not a standard park ticket aswell will they allow you in early for an ADR?

In previous years, you have been able to get into MK with the MNSSHP ticket from 4 pm.

No, you have to have a valid ticket for entry but MNSSHP tickets are valid from 4pm not 7pm as it says on it, the party starts at 7pm but they allow in in early.

In December when we did MVMCP we went in to the parks at 4pm & did a few rides then got counter service meal from Cosmic Rays.

In September for MNSSHP we will be doing the same, entering at 4pm & I have an adr for the Plaza at 5pm. :thumbsup2

I'm beginning to think it might be worth us having an ADR for the MNSSHP as we can get there and have something nice to eat under the cover of air con while we wait for all the fun to begin.
Will have to have a chat with 'The Party' and see what they think.

We're planning on getting a proper lunch at a TS restaurant so we'll have had a proper meal for the day. Then either snacks or a CS during the MNSSHP.

In '07 we had a 5pm ADR at Liberty Tree the day of our MNSSHP.
It worked out great, so we've gone for a Crystal Palace meal at about the same time this year.

Thanks Wayne :) 4pm is great, just about the time I would of liked to arrive anyway. I wouldn't fancy being there all day and all night, it's too much for the kids.

We're hoping they'll be having one on Mon 4th October (2010) as it's DS' 9th birthday. I can't think of any better way to celebrate :cool1:

We had a 4:30pm ADR at CP in 2007 which was fun, though this year we're eating at Ohana at 5. Going to park up/bus over to MK first then get the monorail to the poly and eat then party! :yay: I know the lull before 7pm is nice but i'm not too worried, we have other chances to do MK rides and really want to just focus on the party this year (last time I felt we missed out on some of the party stuff by doing rides, though it's tempting when the lines are so short!) and staying as late as possible... Will probably end up getting kicked out at the end! :rotfl:

The first party night we went to (which was PPP), we had a 6pm ADR at the Plaza Restaurant, which was too late, we decided. It felt like we were missing out on the action. Then, once the main restaurants closed, there were only a handful of places left open for food.

So last year before our MNSSHP, we made the earliest possible ADR at Cinderella's Gala Feast, GF for several reasons - 1) we couldn't find anywhere in MK that we ALL wanted to eat at, 2) we didn't really want to eat in the park as it would be busy but wanted to be close by, and 3) we wanted a buffet meal.

It worked out great, because we got in some character dining and light entertainment and were all revved up with excitement to get going. We also didn't get hungry until quite late in the evening, at which point we could just grab a snack! :goodvibes

Hi Torsie

As long as you dont go to a CS on the parade route at parade time I dont think they get very busy but like you said he has his sweets and Dave ate most of his that night where I still had mine at christmas lol

Eeeee, me either!! I'm really excited for the headless horseman! I can't get a definitive answer of which way the parade goes yet though, so i think i need to wait until this years partie start, and then I'll be able to plan accordingly!
