I Was Just Wondering How Expensive It Is To Eat At Planet Hollywood?

Or If Theres Anywhere Cheap To Eat In Disney Village.

I was really suprised with the prices at PH. I thought that it would be very expensive, but it is no more expensive than any of the others at DLRP. The food and service have been top quality everytime that I have been as well, so enjoy yourself there!

I have to say I don't agree with the above... We found Planet Hollywood very expensive for horrible food........ We didn't even go there when it was busy, so there wasn't an excuse for it really. All the bread was stale, the food was either terribly overcooked, or dry, or incredibly badly presented (As well as just not being value for money....)....

In my opinion you'd be better off eating at Annettes.... Cheaper and nicer food. The Rainforest Cafe is lovely, but quite expensive. Cafe Mickey is also very good, but pricey. Why not have a look at DLP food guide (Google it) or some of the restaurant reviews at the top of the board?

Ynwa19- Just noticed you're going very soon! Have fun at DLRP!

One of the cheapest places to enjoy a meal in the Village is Annettes Diner. They have a set menu for €18 where you get a burger with fries, a drink (soft drink or Alcohol) and a dessert (or Coffee). Great value (for Disney!)

You can find menu's and prices for all the restaurants (in the Parks, the Village & the hotels) here: http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/index.php

This is the Planet Hollywood menu: http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/menus/hollywoodlunch.html

I'm personally not a fan of Planet Hollywood as I had a bad experience there (very undercooked burger). All the Village restaurants are similar in price. Annettes, Cafe Mickey and Rainforest Cafe are my preffered choices.

Hope this helps

And if all else fails, there's always a McDonalds (I hate the place, but it needs mentioning) which sells the usual stuff.

You can get a meal in there for under €10.

Would have to agree that Annette's Diner is one of the best resturants. The milkshakes are to die for and if your lucky you might even have a roller skating waiter/ress and catch the nightly show!

I have to say we have always had great food and great service at Annette's Diner and the prices really do reflect how nice the food is. If we're after something cheep and cheerful we tend to grab a sandwich/baguette/pannini from the Deli Sandwich Bar in the Village which I really can't remember the name of ... I'm sure someone will help me out. They do a decent sandwich with fries and drink for a good price :)

Have to say i agree with everyone that Annettes is by far the best place for value in disney village. Food is great and the atmosphere is always good. Rainforest is also very good a little more expensive though. Also the all you can eat at billy bobs has always been worth a visit. Last time we went in november it was from 6pm onwards.
Planet hollywood is ok but there a far nicer places to go. Having food in any of the disney hotel restaurants is also an option.

When we have eaten in PH we have had great food, they do a lovely white chocolate bread & butter pudding.

We have eaten of there set menu one year & had a lovely pasta dish. If you want to eat here, I would advise you buy the Brits guide to DLRP as there is a 20% voucher off eating at PH.

I'd have to agree with Annette's - we've eaten there loads of times and never had a bad mea, plus it's good value for money in my opinion. The sit down restaurant is better because I seem to remember you get a better choice, but the take away is also nice, it's just a slightly limited choice.

As mentioned before there is also McDonald's although we personally wouldn't eat there.

Most of the other restaurants are are bit more expensive and seem to be slight;y hit and miss. We really enjoy King Ludwig's and used to enjoy the Rainforest, but found last time that we had a really bad meal at the Rainforest.

We've never really had a problem with Planet Hollywood, although the menu never seems to change so once you've been there a couple of times, it gets a bit repetitive.

Another vote for Annettes!

We won't be using Planet Hollywood again, was utter rubbish for the money. Plus if you do like Planet Hollywoods you can always visit the ones in the UK instead.

It also depends how long you are in the park. If it's a day trip you might just want to grab a counter service meal in the park so you have more time for the rides.

I'll stick my vote in for Annettes too!

My wife and I ate there every night last time we went, as we were on a budget and knew how much the set menu would cost and knew that it would always be good food!

Annette's for me if you want nice but ok priced food. My vote will always be for Cafe Mickey - we just love the place but it's a lot more expensive than Annette's.

Never eaten in PH, never liked their London restaurant so why would the one in DLRP be different?!

Annette's a better bet than PH, definitely.

We had a fair meal there in about 2002 but on our next visit it was so appalling that we never went back.

Queues at Annette's can be long, but as mentioned above there is a good value menu and its not ALL burgers if you wanted something different.

Also in the village I like the Rainforest, but service can be slow.

If you're on a day trip I'd get something in the Park - try Fuente del Oro for something that isn't burger'n'chips; good value, very nice (Mexican).

With there being 5 of us, have to say we have succummed to McD's for eats on our previous visits - not a fan of the place at all but it does the job and more than ticks the box for value for money - more so now that the exchange rate is what it is!

Given the number of positive reviews for A's might well bite the bullet and indulge!

I'd give :thumbsup2 for Annette's too. We ate there when we first went and I have to say we did enjoy it and so did the kids (we didn't have a meal there on our subsequent visit as we wanted to try other places).

I don't like the Planet Hollywood restaurant in London either (only been once but it was enough for me not to want to go back again lol) and DH has never been very keen on places like this, which is/was why we never even thought about going to PH.

We think PH is good value and the best place at Disney Village.

Used to love Annettes, food looks expensive on the menu as it is mainly burgers but by lad are they big:eek:

However, my DW had an accident in Annettes last summer so she won't go back there anymore:headache:

Isn't it strange how different experiences of one place can be :confused3

Another vote for Annette's as long as it's American style fastfood you're after. Had a dreadful experience at RFC with DS being ill, but even that aside I didn't rate the food for the price. We had a fabulous meal at PH though and I thought it was superb value for money, the Fajitas I ordered would have fed all 3 of us, as a result more than half were wasted. The only thing I didn't like about PH was the photographer and probably wouldn't go back because I disliked being hassled by this. They do insist on taking a photo although you're not obliged to buy, I don't like that type of selling.

I've read good reviews about Billy Bobs buffet and would like try it one day, but our absolute favourite in the Village is Cafe Mickey, wins hands down everytime, it doesn't come cheap, but I can't fault the food, service, atmosphere or the fun we've had in there. :woohoo:

I've never been tempted to try McD's.

Please don't tell anyone but on my January trip i went Mcdonalds for lunch...sssssh lol.

Your secret's safe. :rotfl:
To be honest the kids and OH would be happy to eat there and I'm quite partial to the odd one myself, having to drive 15 - 20 miles to get to a McD's in the UK means it's still quite a novelty for us, our Town Council refuse to let any of the Fast Food Chains in, but travelling 400 miles I want something more exciting and exotic. ;)
