Eating at Disney Studios

We have eaten at Mama Melrose & The Brown Derby and really liked them both. If you go to The Brown Derby try a piece of Grapefruit Cake for dessert, it is fantastic.

Hi,

We liked Mama Melroses's - I had a artichoke/pasta dish that was great.

THis year we are trying Sci Fi and 50's PT for lunches and the Brown Derby for dinner..

My DD9 knows nothing about PT 50's - I thing she will have the best time if she see's me get in trouble for something :D

By the way... my daughter has been watching old "Happy Days" shows lately on the Deja view network - so she sort of "gets" the fifty's.

atmosphere: Sci Fi Diner

food: 50's Prime Time

wishing I was Italian: Mama Melrose

eating at the park I used to work at: priceless

:teeth:

Brown Derby is the only full service meal we ever eat at MGM. It is always a must do!

Mmmmm just thinking of that Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake is making me hungry...

Disney Studios has never been one of my favorites when it comes to eating. When your starving just about everything taste good so I make sure I go with a healthy appetite.

On our last trip we has lunch at Mama Melrose and I was suprised at how good it was.

We also had dinner at "50" PT. The dinner was very good I would return to both restaurants.

Another vote for Mama Melrose's. Food and atmosphere are outstanding, plenty of room between tables, not cramped like others. 50's Prime Time is another excellent choice..

We love Prime Time for the fun and atmosphere...the food IMO is just okay, but the shakes are amazing, esp. the PB & J shake.

Brown Derby's food is excellent, esp. the cobb salad...the best I have ever had.

DH and I were pleasantly surprised by a few counter service places when we were there in Feb. The breakfast at ABC Commissary was really good and a great deal IMO.

Also the BBQ chicken pizza at Catalina Eddies near ToT was yummy. Here's the menu:

We only went to Sci-fi for the atmosphere but on the recommendation of the disboard we ordered the hamburgers and they were some of the best burgers we ever had!:D

There is no place like it so I think it is a must.

Hi -

Brown Derby - fabulous Cobb and filet mignon. Wouldn't take my kids, though.

Sci-Fi - Worth a trip once just to see it! Kids went wild! Get the light up ice cubes here. Otherwise, just order dessert. Food was awful! I had an artichoke spinach dip that thought it was soup!!!

ABC Commissary - I, who eat almost ANYTHING - was totally grossed out by the choices, bad food and not-so-clean atmosphere.

PrimeTime - Just tried it, loved it!!! Antics wonderful and much less irritating than I had expected! Food pretty good, too!

Hollywood & Vine - reminded me more of Crystal Palace buffet than Chef Mickey's - was fine for what it was.

Next up - Mama Melrose if we can find it open and PTC doesn't steal us away!

Enjoy!!!
