Hows the food? Is it just your typical theme park stuff or is there restaurants? I imagine its overpriced as well?? lol

As at SeaWorld and the other parks they own, the food at Busch Gardens Tampa is fantastic and far above typical park food. Pizza and burgers are available at a couple of locations if desired, but it is more the exception than the norm. Most restaurants offer dishes that are far more unique and enticing. During my visit, here are some of the favorites that stood out to me. The Desert Grill had a couple types of pasta with alfredo or marinara sauce and chicken or meatballs, chilli with cornbread, and Sausage with peppers and onions, and hand carved corned beef . Crown Colony House counter service had roast beef hand carved to order with mashed potatoes. Zambia Smokehouse has chicken, ribs, salmon, and various vegetables and sides. Bengal Bistro had fried fish and chips, and meatball subs, and most restuarants have various deli sandwiches on focacia bread or fresh baked rolls typically served with potato salad, strawberries or grapes. All restaurants have fabulous deserts, salads, and sides that are very attractive. They do a great job of making the food look good and the presentation is top notch.

Most restaurants are counter service, but they are more like cafeterias than fast food restaurants. Crown Colony House also offers a table service restaurant on the top floor with individual entrees and family style meals. The Garden Gate Cafe offers an all-inclusive buffet for $9.99 with three types of pasta, two sauces, several types of pizza, fruit, salad, desert, soda, and coffee. Seating at the Garden Gate Cafe is both indoors and outdoors overlooking a pond and garden area.

Most entrees cost around $8-10 with a few of the meals at Zambia Smokehouse being $10-14. The portions are generous, and the food is of great quality. It's not inexpensive, but I don't feel like it is overpriced compared to other theme parks and considering the quality. Also, most restaurants have very pleasant dining areas, often with great views.

I hope I've been helpful, and you can also check out the menues here:

Thank you so much!!! :worship:

That does sound nice... seems reasonbly priced as well!! I just had this Six Flags feeling about it lol.. but totally not the case!!

thanks again!;)

You're welcome. If you we expecting Six Flags, then I'll think you'll be more than pleasantly surprised. Busch Gardens' food, and the park in general, is almost the complete opposite of Six Flags despite any superficial similarities.

Take time to explore the animal habitats, the shows, shops, the restaurants, and the grounds themselves with lovely landscaping. It's a wonderful, inviting, and relaxing atmosphere.

As already stated, Busch Garden's food is amazing. I can also back this one up, especially the deserts, they are all big and delicious.
