Heading down in August and can book ADRs tomorrow. Looking for a place at Boardwalk to eat one night. Don't want to go Flying Fish as it requires two dining credits on plan. Anyone have a suggestion? How is the brew house?

I like the brew place on BW (name escapes me at the moment).
Many do not care for it, but we find it a laid back, non busy, comfort food, good beers place to grab a quick bite.

I love the grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich. Add a bit of cheese and have it blackened.... heaven!!!

We liked big river grille too. I had the ribeye and thought it was great. We had a mix of other food (salmon and nachos I remember for sure) and none of the 5 of us had a complaint about food and enjoyed it. Only complaint I had was that they were out of a couple of their brews, but the food was good for us.

I second this.. Great food and service
We have eaten here twice and loved it both times

I answered on your other thread too.
Who is in your party? What are their ages? What type of cuisine do you enjoy?
Take a look at the menus here on the DIS, on allears.net and at the official WDW Website. All menus are listed. You can get an idea of what appeals to you and then ask for specific comments.
As you have already seen here in the reviews of Big River Grill, some said they loved it, one said it was horrible. Tastes vary.
You can also look at the restaurants at the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht and Beach Club, as all are within a short pleasant walk. But Swan & Dolphin don't take the DDP.
My favorite in that area is Cape May Café seafood buffet. But this year we are going to try either Beaches & Cream of Captains Grille.

We like Big River Grill.
Captain's Grille at YC is good if you want to go over that far.

If my math is accurate, there are six [6] places for 1-credit (in no particular order):

1.) Big River Grill - burgers / steaks / salads / pizza (flatbreads).
2.) Trattoria al Forno - decent Italian.
3.) ESPN - pub grub is better than you'd expect.
4.) Captain's Grille - we haven't enjoyed our meals here, but maybe the menu works for you.
5.) Cape May - seafood buffet at dinner. May be the best value for 1-credit.
6.) Beaches & Cream - kitschy, may be better value out-of-pocket for ice cream and sandwiches.
