Hi,

I've never been to the Boardwalk area, if I make reservations at the Flying Fish where would I park and how far would that be from the restaurant? Would I be able to walk around the Boardwalk later on as well or is there a time limit for parking? Not sure yet if we will be off-site or on-site for this meal, would that matter?

Thanks!

You should be allowed to park in the main boardwalk lot if there's room or the lot across the street. I've heard they sometimes give time limit passes, but I've never seen it. The lot across the street is unguarded, so there is no time limit but it's a long walk. Boardwalk also has valet parking, $7 I think (free for DVC members). You're spending alot of money for a nice dinner, I would just valet park, it's much easier.

Thanks Debbie, do all the resorts have valet parking? That sounds like a great idea, especially in the evenings after a long day in the parks! Well worth the $7!

All the deluxe resorts have valet. If you valet park at more than one of them in the same day, you don't have to pay again (tipping is extra).

I have never seen them give time passes at the BW. If they did, I would say I'm going to Jellyrolls and gonna close the place down! :teeth:

Valeting is great! :thumbsup2 Especially at BW-the walk from the parking lot is up a pretty steep hill. The valets are very helpful too if you're unloading anything (like a stroller). I remember the good old days when staying at a deluxe resort included free valet (at all deluxes). :confused3

Walking around BW is very nice in the evening. Also, a tip, if you arrive just before 9 p.m. you'll be able to see the fireworks (the high ones) from Illuminations from the parking lot. A nice added bonus! I can't pass up a good firework! :cloud9:

We usually go to the Boardwalk at least once per trip. We always valet park. We usually do some shopping then have dinner and end the night at Jelly Rolls. With the valet parking we don't have to remember exactly where we parked. My wife is a tee-totaler so she acts as the designated driver back to our hotel.
